I've been doing my ultrawide research and it looks like 1080 on anything more than 29" isn't worth it.
Reading there are compatibility issues too with Windows programs - not sure if that is still the case on W10.
It's an ultrawide monitor.
Since it's ultrawide, it's not much taller than a 24" 1080p monitor.

Is that ASUS monitor a steal for that price? No one seems to be going crazy for it. Need a new monitor for a 2070 Super - But also kind of have my eye on a 27GL850
Its a good price for that monitor, although if i am being honest the monitor is a bit long in the tooth
From what I've read the ASUS PG279QE is the exact same as the PG279Q panel (which is about 3-4 years old now) but it's cheaper because it has a different stand and a slightly toned down design/look and no lighting features.
You can probably get a good idea of whether the monitor is worth it based on reviews for the PG279Q.
I'm also tossing up between this and the 27GL850 but I keep missing out on the $636 deals!
The 27GL850 goes on sale for $636? - I have clearly not looked hard enough. I wish Comp Alliance would get it for that price - Just in case I had to return it for dead pixels etc. Don't want to have to post it.

Both times it's been on sale for that price were from Wireless 1 ebay 15% off sales and both times they were very limited stock sold out within an hour.

I managed to order an RTX 2080 last week but it still hasn't been dispatched. There is no phone number to MSY online. Used their Zen chatbox yesterday and was advised someone from MSY would call me back. This never occurred. Tried calling the branches but no one picks up their phones. Now I've sent an email to [email protected]
Very unfair to hold on to customer's funds without any way of getting a response back from these guys as to progress of delivery a week later.
My order was not processed within 10 days. I called the branch, but was told the only way to communicate with online was via [email protected].
I emailed to cancel my order. No response yet.
