I checked the stock against the website despite it not being listed anymore and it showed 3 stores with stock, but it's very likely to be wrong.

      Rockhampton - 1
      Launceston - 1
      Mandurah - 2

    • Cool

    • does this mean theres a new model incoming or something?

      • +2

Nope - it means that they will no longer be making them. Absolutely nothing wrong with them, but the demand wasn't there. I, however, have three of them. Brilliant bits of kit but a niche product.

        • Same, I've got three and works flawlessly. Pity they are discontinuing it and forcing ppl to buy speakers with in built chromecast.

    • Pretty Sure that there would be no stock in SA. Was chasing one when they first started marking them down.

    • So just to confirm this would not be usable say to use in a park or in a car since it needs a WiFi network to connect and transmit receive data from unless you connect to some local free WiFi around if possible.

Just trying to see what it's uses and drawbacks are compared to Bluetooth.

      • Correct. Also needs USB power so not really portable. At a stretch you could use wi-fi from hotspot on phone or device. Most portable speakers already have Bluetooth and stream natively.

      • You can use them in a park and a car with no problems at all.

You will have to buy a long extension cord and a few wifi repeaters though.

      • Use this at home. Use a portable Bluetooth speaker outside. Use the car stereo in your car when you are in your car.

        • Touche.

Technically correct is best kind of correct.

    • Just went to one of the officeworks stores. There no stock around country apart from 1 at Albury.

      • Yes these are getting a bit rare now, haven’t been made for a while.

    • +3

How many people actually got it at this price?

    • +1

Went to one officeworks and called another, they said they don't sell them any more, not in the system (QLD)

Still keen to get one, should be some deals if bring discontinued?

      • been discontinued for coming up to 12months so doubt we'll see many more deals.

    • None at Keysborough,

    • +2

Price protection on 28degrees CC ftw. Thanks OP

      • +2

Doesn't it have to be in stock?

They don't seem to ask for too much evidence, lately I've been buying wherever is convenient using 28d and claiming straight away, they seem to approve them :). Saves on shipping and get it straight away..

    • any chance of a pricematch at JB? That is if they even have stock..

    Coupon Code: PLENTY100

It has been cheaper, but not recently as far as I can remember.
I just bought this lens for my A7iii and it is sharp as a pin and totally bokehlicious. Excellent portrait lens. The Teds Sony Lens sales ends tomorrow so I can only assume this price on the lenses they have listed on eBay will also return to normal after tomorrow night.

The ever-growing Sony E-Mount lens lineup has a new entry in the form of this portrait friendly FE 85mm f1.8 F. Designed for use on the premium full-frame range the lens can also be used on the popular APS-C models, where a more magnified view is experienced. Great for experimenting freely with differing depths of fields and for shooting in dark scenarios, this lens features a bright f1.8 maximum aperture. The out of focus areas that are so easy to create are fine in appearance, owing to a rounded 9-blade aperture diaphragm.

  • Merged from [Sold Out] Antler Juno 2 Expandable Large 80.5cm Suitcase - $119 via eBay App @ Discount Luggage Warehouse eBay

Can't post this on the main deals page since there are not enough in stock. Posted in the general forum too but posting here in-case anyone doesn't check other sub-forums.

    Purple - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Antler-Juno-2-0-Large-80cm-Hards…

Have been in the market for a large hard-shell suitcase and came across this.

    • Extra $10 off with code via eBay app with code PAPP100.

    • Looks like it's only the purple, pink and turquoise colours. I personally like brighter colours for luggage because 1) my regular day to day work/casual attire is quite dull and 2) it's easier to spot on the baggage carousel.

    • I have used the original Juno 1 in the medium size and the bag is fine with no issues. I personally don't use larger luggage that often so I'm fine if it's not Samsonite/Rimowa/other higher quality brands.

      Tempting, ticks every box
      - 144hz
      - qhd
      - 1ms
      - ips
      - g-sync
Except I was hoping to get for $500 or less. Is this monitor worth it?

      • Its g-sync compatible, not the actual g-sync module. I think its worth it (for me at least). The LG 27GL83A might arrive in AU (you should ask LG for confirmation) which may be cheaper than the 850 variant.

        • I’ve been eyeing the ViewSonic VX2758-2KP-MHD. Likely not as good quality as the LG but for about $250 cheaper and still ticks all the boxes (G-sync compatible) it’s ideal for me. Just waiting for stock

        • I just got off LG live chat and they said at this time there's no news as to whether the LG 27GL83A will be available in Australia.

    • Thanks mate! Been checking eBay everyday during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales and so glad I saw your post early!

Contemplated signing into Shopback/Cashrewards but looks like I would've missed out if I did.

      • +2

I don't think cashback works with a coupon code on eBay, so you saved yourself there.

    • Bless the Wireless1 Team - I was actually eyeing this all weekend and made a call to them over the phone and enquired about stock whether they could re-list it on eBay for the same price as their own website. Said they would put 6 up before 10:00am and they delivered as promised!

There's actually another 50 on back-order according to Ash from Wireless1 - many thanks to you if you read this mate! And thanks for not jacking up the price like some other stores!

Super happy to have snagged one this morning and can't wait. Upgrading from a 23' 1080P 60hz generic Samsung monitor from 2011.

If you're in the market for a new monitor, I recommend RTTings - they are a great reviewer and go really in depth. I was weighing this up against the price and spec comparative Acer Predator XB271HU (when stacked with eBay discounts) but ultimately settled for this.

      https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/lg/27gl850-b

      https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tools/compare/acer-predator-x…

Touching on potatophish9's comment, the LG 27GL83A will be cheaper than the 27GL850 but is essentially the same panel, except no wide colour gamut & no USB ports at the back. That would've been my choice if it were readily available in AUS.

      • +1

I also emailed them to put stock on eBay at BF and Ash replied that they had no stock during CM lol. I was lucky for this deal to come as I refreshed eBay.

      • I would never buy a refurbished device unless it came with a new battery. I can only guess how long these would last with each charge.

    • -1

Don't expect much mileage out of it. The CPU is sloooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr than almost anything else.

cpu.userbenchmark quotes it as 854th out of 1203 available CPU's

      • Not really fair comparing an ultra low voltage CPU from 2014 designed for tablets with any newer CPUs designed for desktops/laptops of course it would be slower than majority of other CPUs out there because of its very nature of being for ULV tablets and ~5 years old, doesn't really mean the tablet itself would be slow particularly with what appears to be a mSATA SSD this would be perfectly fast enough for most tasks not to say you can't get a better/quicker tablet in the same price range but most people looking at buying this would probably be perfectly happy with performance and you cant say it would be better to buy a ipad or some android tablet for $200+ over one of these as that would be ludicrous.

Snagged 5 of these for work for $100 each a few years ago when a school was offloading old stock.

They aren't particularly fast, we've had the battery fail on two, the screen is a bit dim, and the keyboard is just awful. But they're built to survive a few years being jumped on by 12 year olds so they're pretty tough. I wouldn't buy one for me but if you're after a basic windows tablet it'll probably do the job.

      • +1

a basic windows tablet it'll probably do the job.

not if the battery is over 5yo

      Buy & Cry product!!

    • CPU performs about the same as MS Surface Go, which was $370 on last sale without keyboard

but then the battery on this surely shits itself after 5years and not replaced during "refurbishing"

    • I wish Ainol was still around. Some great cheap dual-boot's

      • dont we all…( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°),

        • Dual booty.

      • Ainol is still around. Walmart and Amazon still sell Ainol tablets. They have a minimal presence in the Aussie market. I'm guessing they changed the name of their products for Australia? I'm guessing somebody in the marketing department was having a laugh especially considering that their logo looked like a bleached chocolate starfish.

Very good pricing on these well regarded helium PMR drives. 6TB best value but 8TB also excellent at only a smidgen more c per GB if that extra 2TB is needed. 10TB not the best value of the 3 but again its 10TB so…. yeah.

These drives are aimed at NAS usage for 24x7 RAID operation.

    • Waiting for 10-12TB drives to get competitive…

      • I think you'll be waiting until 14/16/18/20 TB drives hit the consumer market properly. Which will be a whileeeeeeeee :(

        • Sounds right :(

WD now have 10, 12 and 14TB Elements (external) for those OK with shucking, but the price hasn't come down yet. That's the first hurdle cleared though.

I have several 4TB in my NAS's and would ideally rather wait until I can triple the capacity on replacement and drop back to a single NAS.

          • @Click_It: If I recall in general…. 4TB didnt become "cheap" until 8TB was well and truly established and plentiful at all retailers.

            • @Skramit: I think that's right, when I bought my 4TB's I think you could buy those archive SMR drives at a semi-reasonable price, helium drives were still too expensive. So that's what, 3 iterations above? 5TB, 6TB and 8TB. Hmmm.

Also I suspect SSD's are helping keep the larger capacities in Enterprise space longer than usual. The opposite effect most expected.

    • +1

There's literally 3 drives available in all. 2x 6TB drives and 1x 10TB. 8TB is sold out completely.

  • Merged from Marvel Crisis Protocol Core Set (miniatures game) - $129.00 delivered from Cardtastic (eBay Plus)
    Go to Deal

I've been watching prices for the new miniatures game Marvel Crisis Protocol, and this is the cheapest price I've seen yet.

Most stores I've seen have it for around $145, and I believe the RRP is $169

This is a miniatures skirmish type game (like X-Wing The Miniatures Game, or Warhammer 40k Killteam) set in the Marvel universe.

The core set includes everything you need to play, including unpainted and unassembled miniatures (Captain America, Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, Black Widow, Ultron, Red Skull, Doctor Octopus, Crossbones and Baron Zemo) and terrain pieces, plus rules, character cards and movement rulers.

Save the world or conquer it with Crisis Protocol a tactical hobby game set in the Marvel Universe! Take command of legendary heroes and villains to complete narrative missions on an interactive tabletop. Assemble and paint beautifully detailed miniatures of your favorite characters. Build a roster of iconic Marvel characters to create your very own Marvel dream team. During battle characters earn Power a key resource allowing them to harness incredible super powers coordinate amazing team-up moves or use the battlefield itself as a weapon. Miniatures are supplied unassembled and unpainted.

    Find out more at https://techraptor.net/tabletop/guides/start-collecting-marv…

This is fantastic value for everything that's included, although additional terrain and miniatures are pricey (as they tend to be for miniatures games).

I have the A340 version of this, with the Sub 300. I wanted the A340, as the satellites are basically full-range. These A320's are not.
I have had to spend hundreds of dollars to get the main board of the sub repaired after about 6 years, because it burned out. It never sees heavy usage, but apparently Jamo uses a type of glue which, as it ages, starts to conduct and then causes a short. I remember the smell of dead electronics before finding out my sub was dead. Apparently it is a common problem - you can pretty much count on it to happen.

It's a good price, but this is not the Jamo of old.
