      • I've heard that it has no hd rumble

      • No hd humble, doesn't turn on switch, L2 and R2 are long triggers and no Nfc for amiibo.

    • I don't think we can actually assume it's Australian stock…

      • It actually was, just got mine and it was sent from Victoria

        • Auspost? I ordered mine 05/09 and all I have is a tracking number starting with WQ…

    • Out of stock. Bought the last black one.

    • Dammit out of stock!

      • More stock now, apparently

        • Two only. ~$4 more. Sold out again.

thought this was a better deal than the Kogan one……

386 dollars with the code - Kogan was 369 last I checked.

first time poster so apologies if I have made any mistakes!

    uses same code as https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/480908

    • +1

      Cheap but no Freesync.

      • +1

        And no G-Sync.

        • -1

          And no USB-C.

        • G-Sync I can understand, but "Free"sync? Sure it aint free, but it's much cheaper to implement and both NVIDIA/AMD Cards can use it now.

          • @Bigboomboom: Yeah thats funny as you would expect a 144hz premium (semi premium?) gaming screen to have freesync.

          • @Bigboomboom: Curious What does g sync and free sync do?

            • @ATTS: Syncs the frame outs to the monitor refresh rate. Eliminates tearing and improves smoothness at lower fps. At high fps harder to tell the difference.

        • And no stock.

    • +1

You should probably mention the size

      • +1

At least we can still see it on the picture - 27 inch.

Unfortunately limited stock available and down to just 5 units left.
Thought I would post anyway for anyone looking to snag one

One of the best 144hz+ IPS 1440p 25" G-Sync (module not just compatible) monitors available right now.
Pros and Cons over the current popular LG 27GL850 but one pros for me being the actual G-Sync hardware providing better features with my NVIDIA card.

From what I can see this is one of, if not the, lowest price for this monitor ever.

    • There are ALOT of these floating around on Taobao, ebay and aliexpress. There are 4 different models and were used as bitcoin mining machine. Look around and you will find bargain

      • just curious, how does bitcoin mining works?

      • +1

        Are they cheaper elsewhere?

      • I wonder if there are any additional issues to consider, given they would have been at maximum output when used to mine bitcoin…

      • I bought one of these some time ago and didn't find cheaper - surprised they would be used for mining with such a low spec machine! I loaded it with 4x10tb amazon us specials found on here and set it up with openmediavault and docker containers for plex, nextcloud, openvpn, etc. It works great - cpu gets to 40-42 degrees and the box runs quiet enough. Tempted to get another as a spare in case it did die…

      • Can you provide links to 4 different models please?

    • “Doesn’t post to melbourne metro” :(

    • I have never seen washing machine in color other than white.

    • +3

I have this, had it for a few of years now.
Pump was replaced 6months in under warranty, and its in need of a front gasket now due to my own misuse.
Otherwise its my best washer, we got it when we had our child and I promise its used 1-3 times a day ever since (unless we are not at home)
What sold me on it originally was the ability to pause mid cycle and add more clothes to it.
Anyway my 2 cents, hope it helps someone.

    • Doesn’t post to: Brisbane Metro, Melbourne Metro, NSW Regional, QLD South East, VIC Regional, Northern Territory, QLD Regional, Perth Metro, Adelaide Metro, QLD Far North, WA Regional, SA Regional, Tasmania, WA Remote

they only post to Sydney metro lol

      • Apologies. Updated the post title.

    • Fantastic price for this washing machine. Have had mine for a year or so and hasn't missed a beat. Love the ability to add items in mid-wash, it has come in handy many times.

WARNING Aren't Samsung washing machines mixing metals, the drum and the chassis, so they corrode beyond use in a few years?? Washing machines should last much longer than that

REALLY want a backup - these things are excellent.

    • This is a good find

    • Woah. So good

    • Always been curious on these. can people talk about what they use them for?

      • +5

Turn your non smart speaker into a smarter one

        • +2

What type of speaker though? The only random speakers i have lying around are Bluetooth which seems pointless to use with one of these.

          • +9

@wombat81: Bluetooth relies on the phone pushing the audio constantly, drain on the battery
And needs the phone nearby, so you can't walk away while streaming
            These also have optical

            • @Herbse: Exactly right! Such a great invention, the chromecast audio.

            • -1

@Herbse: What does wireless do differently compared to Bluetooth?

Uses the WiFi network and only sends complete audio once so less drain one time sending what else I want to know the clear benefits of Bluetooth and one of these.

          • +10

@wombat81: Added to an amplifier using an optical cable. Connects two home theatre systems to sync the same streaming audio. Works great for house parties.

          • +5

@wombat81: I've added this to amps with smart switch while CCA is powered directly. I've then configured the smart switch of amp to turn on when I cast something and turns off when not casting. Saves heaps of power and I don't have to go to turn on the amp every time. Works beautifully!!

Also, I've got three of these which casts same audio to my lower floor, courtyard and upper float floor.

            • @zerocritical: How do you configure the turn off and on triggers?

              • @911r: You have an amp with trigger and then you configure them.

                • +1

@KLoNe: You don't really need the amp to be smart. One of the amps I use is a stupid 1995 amp. :)

              • +1

@911r: I use home assistant on Raspberry pi. Triggers are based on state of media_player (state of Chromecast)

                • @zerocritical: wow that's excellent, thanks for the tip. I'll have to look into if this is possible with a regular google home. Also not sure if anyone has mentioned but you can use an optical cable with these (it's a dual optical mini/3.5mm port). I can't beleive these are not more popular!

                  • @911r: No worries. Took me a while to understand and configure that. Happy to help if you want assistance. Just PM me.

Old by quality technics hifi system - plugs into Aux in and streams my collection well!

      • +1

Another who has one plugged into 1980's Technics hifi, very handy for this type of purpose. Great price if you can pick one up.

      • I have 4. 3 in use and 1 as a backup. They are great. Group them with your TV Chromecasts and your Google Home's for synced audio in every room.

    • +1

Amazing if you cannot find stock.

      • +76

Even more amazing if you can find stock!

    • Just called up OW Penrith no stock with them or nearby stores . Looks like it’s already been cleared

      • +38

Except for the small detail that it doesn’t use Bluetooth

        • Hahahaha

        • Which ironically is what makes it so damn good too.

      • Such an uninformed comment

    • Great price!

    • Possibly means a new cc audio reveal during the google event in 5 days.

      • +6

Google has discontinued Audio CC as it wasn't a successful product.

      • +1

If Google ever has a good product, they discontinue it. As this is an AMAZING product, it will never have a new version and Google will forget it ever existed.

      • +1

Rumour is that the new Google Home Minis (which will be rebranded Nest) will have a 3.5mm out jack for this very purpose. Get Google Assistant + casting capability easily then.

    • +3

I just purchased one of these a few weeks back for $60 from Kogan. Absolute steal at $15. Works really well for my set up.

      • -8

Like apple they'll remove the 3.5 mm plug and make some 'google cable'.

        • +3

even better, google jumped on the bandwagon of removing the headphone jack not that long after mocking Apple in adverts for doing it with their phobes

    • They are handy to add chromecast to your older Amps or all in one stereos that have Aux in. But with the price of Google minis etc they have become somewhat obsolete. Still a good find.

      • +5

The next Google Mini is rumoured to have a 3.5mm Audio Jack inbuilt, which could explain why the CC Audio was discontinued

        • Echo devices have 3.5mm audio jack since the beginning.

        • And the rumour turned out to be false.

      • +2

They have basically nothing in common with google minis, so that's a weird comparison.

        • This. WTF?!

        • It is likely the new google mini will have the ability to cast to it just like the CC Audio and with a 3.5mm output jack…..it is a completely reasonable comparison.

          • @SwampCrack: Except he wasnt comparing it to a new model that doesn't even exist yet, was he?

But with the price of Google minis etc they have become somewhat obsolete

            gg no re

These are great for streaming Spotify on outdoor speakers via an old but high quality class A hi-fi stereo amp. I have the amp in cupboard and turn them on via google home using a smart switch so the amp is only on when you need it.
