  • [NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, Box Damaged] Sony 77" BRAVIA 8 4K HDR OLED Google TV K77XR80 (2024) $3,149 Delivered @ Sony eBay
    Merged from deal

Excludes NSW Regional (which covers ACT), Northern Territory, Perth Metro, QLD Far North, QLD Regional, QLD South East, SA Regional, Tasmania, VIC Regional, WA Regional, WA Remote.

Seems like a great price for a 77" OLED TV which is currently retailing for $4475 at JB Hi-Fi and the best they could offer was $3900.

You can also combine with ebay discounted gift cards (Max $1500 per transaction) + 3% cashback via TopCashback.

It's a used Akai MPC X Standalone Music Production Center.

Buy it now is $1794 + $39 delivery. $100 off with eBay plus.

      Auction bids start at $1272.86.

      It is not $1172.

      • -2

        No ebay plus needed

        • That may be true, but you can't buy it for $1172.

          • -1

@spirrowhack: No one bids. Its been relisted 3 times already

@asspray: I appreciate that you're putting in effort to post in the community and don't want to dissuade you from continuing to do so, but maybe have a look at some of the other posts in these threads to give you an idea. There's no deal with this one because you can't buy it, you can put a bid on an auction and maybe get it in five days if no one else bids.

Also, it helps to put what the item is in the body of the post.

      • Very ambitiously priced seller, 8 pages of very cool stuff and only 2 bids. Oh my.

  • [Refurb] Sony BRAVIA 8 77" OLED TV (Seconds) $2787.84 Delivered @ Sony eBay
    Merged from deal

Came across this on Google and looks like an incredible deal. TV is Certified - Refurbished and sold by Sony. There are a few complaints in the reviews section but it's worth a shot.

According to the description " The seller certifies that the item is in a like-new condition and that it has been inspected, cleaned, and refurbished by the manufacturer or a manufacturer-approved vendor to meet manufacturer specifications. The product will be in new packaging with original or new accessories"

    • +1

Refurbrished from Acer means reset/reload of software. There are a few sellers selling them on eBay (JW is also one of them), they comes in Opened Box - 20 % off (1 year Acer waaranty), Good Condition - about 30% to 40% off (1 year or 3 months warranty from Acer) and Used - about 40 to 50% off (Seller 3 momths warranty). I bought a few throughout the years and they had been OK. Used really means a little old / dirty, Good Condition varies a bit from VERY good to Old/Dirty. I never buy Opened Box as they are only 20% off brand new prices and I don't want to take the risk. (Especially when you can buy Lenovo with 20% Cash Back, saving just 20% is not a great deal in my mind. As brand new looking lemon is still a lemon.

Dear tech manufacturers - please stop putting "AI" on your product names. No one finds that appealing.

      • +1

Part of Intel/AMD branding though.. Manufacturers have to follow suit to market the NPU feature on these chips.

        • +1

I don't think so. The Lenovo yoga I bought with the same specs didn't say AI on the product name

    • +2

In the past Acer were not to bad of a laptop brand and one I would have looked at purchasing.

These days they have cheapened up the product and all I hear is people having issues with the brand.

If you are lucky or a light user it might be a good fit for you.

      • Never in my life has anyone ever considered Acer laptops to be great since the days they started making laptops in the 90s.

    • Even though it says open box never used, just under I it says Factory refurbished

      • +3

Box opened - Disappointment, ah this is shit !!! - laptop returned to place of purchase - factory refurbished.

Never used because it was shit from first box opening? lol

    • +1

Lots of other decent deals by the same seller.

Eg this is very similar: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/257189397125

      • That's alot of opened and returned Acer laptops. I generally avoid Acer. Anyone have better experience?

        • Nope. Build quality is poor, mine has a dead USB port already. Less than 6 months old.

        • +1

4 died on me in a row within warranty. Ranging from 3-9 months. Usually USB-C port issues, one the TPM failed and kept logging me out of everything + windows hello resetting. Their quality really isn’t great and you’re relying on consumer protections to safeguard you. They were all Acer Swift series, which is their higher end range of lightweight laptops.

Granted I got refunds on all so effectively free upgrades, but I’d stick to reputable stores who will just refund it and not stuff you around for a month on a warranty repair. Some insist you wait for a repair, no matter how hard you push your consumer rights.

But for this price… I just paid $1350 for a refurb Lenovo (which granted is in amazing condition, not a single sign it’s a refurb). You get what you pay for, I guess.

        • +2

I've had this laptop in both 13700H and 8854HS, both were great with no issues. Battery life wasn't the best that's all. Got about 3 hours with the Intel And about 5 hours with the AMD

          • +1

@groook: The 258v in this laptop would do leagues better in battery life for what it’s worth.

      • Still pretty good, but the 258V would have been real nice.

    [Used] Dell XPS 13 9310 i7, 16gb RAM, 512GB SSD, OLED Model $764.10 + Postage @ tnirprint eBay

    First time posting.

    Go to Deal

    Coupon Code: LAPTOPDEALMAR26

Was looking for an OLED XPS and came across this last week, grabbed one one through best offer for $775 but now saw the seller has added an additional discount code.
Really really pretty screen, laptop was in very good condition but came with a HP USB-C Charger.
Beats paying 3k for a new model.

    • I got an offer from the seller, for $764.10. Previous coupon has expired but probably can stack with FEBSS for extra $50 off, bringing it own to $714+postage.

    • I had similar laptop - just googled it - this one aslo has the dreaded coil wine - basically makes a high pitched noise constantly be warned!

      • Oh really? I've been using it a week and it's basically silent most of the time. Is the coil wine an under 25 thing where I am too old to hear that frequency?

        • It's one of those things where some units are fine — luck of the draw — but it's widely documented. And yes, like my colleague who doesn't mind his smoke detector beeping, you may simply be immune to it.

    • Good value but the horizontal resolution annoys me

      • I actually prefer the 16:10 resolution, in any case it's more usable than the 3:2 and 16:9 that some laptops have when you code / excel.

I actually got it for content consumption / personal use on work trips, because it's much smaller than a macbook air, the speakers are good and the screen.

        • I agree that 16:10 is a nicer aspect ratio, but it's usually achieved by bumping up the vertical resolution rather than reducing the horizontal resolution. 3456 pixels is freaking me out lol. Still a great deal. Nice post 😊

    • Are these good? Seems cheep for a 55" OLED TV from Sony.

      • -3

        It's second hand

        • Just to finally close this off. The TV took 6 weeks to arrive.

It is brand new. Just the box has some slight wear from storage.

It was FOC, such is Sony eBay stores total incompetence.

        • +1

          seconds != second hand.

          • @stumo: it's listed as a refurb. do you consider refurbs not second hand?

            • @belongsinforums:

Refurbished: This item is manufacturer refurbished. It has been checked by Sony technicians and assessed as in working order.

Its a 2024 model, its most likely an ELF, or cosmetic customer return.

All items available to purchase on the Official Sony eBay Store are covered by a full 12 month Sony manufacturer warranty from Sony. Sony provides invoices on all purchases via an email with a PDF.

You don't get a full Sony manufacturer warranty with something that's truly "second hand".

              • -2

@stumo: Why not? Apple gives out warranty on refurbs

                  @Nilfunds: Seems so.
Its still sitting on order paid 2 weeks later. Its now well beyond the estimated delivery date. No tracking info, not a peep out of them.

                • @Nilfunds: My sister ordered a TV from Sony Ebay store in December and they never shipped the TV and she couldn't even get them to process the refund after cancelling the order. She had to do a charge back through the bank.

                  • @keejoonc: yea. ive heard absolute horror stories about Sony shipping,
                    delivering broken panels etc,,
                    months for refunds.
it's just a big fat NO for Sony delivery

                    • +1

@Nilfunds: I received an update from my sister after she put in charge back claim through the bank. Apparently, Sony are now saying the TV was delivered when their own tracking actually says the order was cancelled. Unbelievable stuff.

                      • @keejoonc: wow. thanks for heads up.

The lens is normally $1899.00, currently selling for $1599.00 but can use SAVENOV for an additional $100 discount, bringing the lens to $1499.00. I think this is also close to ATL from what I can see on OZB post history.

      Just saying :)

    • so after having pwoer station after power station shoved in my face by youtube.

I got recommend more Kings videos just recently.
some videos by small youtubers suggesting you can make your own power station (diy) with cheaper deep cycle lithium batteries.

what do any of you guys think of this? is it safe for someone who knows nothing about electronic safety and was looking at premade power station products? or basically risk what you pay for etc.

      • they basically buy two 120Ah batteries which would be more capacity then this deal, and put them in a box with an inverter. but all wires just bare and smushed in etc. might risk damaging your expensive appliances.

        • Hard to say. While the best thing to do is ask somebody with extensive experience, often experts will have difficulty predicting just how bad beginners can stuff things up.

The worst is that sometimes it will work, which makes you think you've done it right. Then you run it under high load and things start getting hot.

You'll need a decent inverter, which for a 2kw will run you about $400 (pure sine wave, not modified. And continuous, not the peak rating. Lot of the cheap ones aim to mislead on these two fronts) and then you need batteries that can together supply at least 200amps (A lot of the cheap ones are limited to 50amps by their bms) which would be $150 each at least. So already that's $700

It's what I would do, but yeah a lot of potential pitfalls.

          • @outlander:

Then you run it under high load and things start getting hot.

ok yeah the things I was seeing in videos was. some of the deep cycle Lifepo4 batteries just have them sliding around inside the plastic case, kind of bare minimum you see for cost savings. and some people demonstrating that included wires in kits/accessories can't handle what they claim, and start to get very hot. warning it's not good for people who are inexperienced.

and then you need batteries that can together supply at least 200amps (A lot of the cheap ones are limited to 50amps by their bms) which would be $150 each at least. So already that's $700

ok I did not know that thanks. I just thought the battery can output whatever, and it's just easier on each battery if you have more of them connected together (which I am also worried about, just connecting batteries together by myself and leaving them like that my room with nobody around to do anything if it goes wrong).

        • The more you learn about 12 V electrics, the more confident and careful you become.

It's a good project for someone with skills and/or to save $, or in order to customize, or any combo.

Does not sound like you are ready, start off with a bought power station or start reading up.

    • +2

Is there a pickup option ? $115 delivery is it coming via taxi

      • Haha, I agree. This is a new way of pricing to hide price increases.

The OP even changed the price structure to reflect that after posting.

    • +1

I use one as an UPS for my network equipments and CCTV. Works decently well when there's a power outage. Lasts over 24 hours running the CCTV and WiFi network.

      • I assume this functionally acts as a "double conversion" UPS? In that it's always converting AC -> DC -> AC even when you're running it plugged in. I guess there's nothing wrong with that, but it's a little awkward for home use since that's not very efficient to leave on 24/7.

      • Gee,……they must be really power hungry then?

    • +2

I have this one. It's great, although very heavy and charges slowly (no 220v pass-through). Also lacks an option to turn off by timer

      • Most of time this should not be a major issue except in rare (or badly timed emergencies or forgetfulness),

and might even make the cells last longer. Not having pass-though charging is a feature that could be missed

in an emergency but really not used that often. Great form factor for my use case (nearly bought this model last year.

Do you think that the capacity is pretty right to claims after efficiency losses etc, and inverter is strong too?

      • +1

        LOL.
Portable, but it is very heavy.
Rapid recharge, but it charges slowly.

        • +1

"Portable" compared to bigger and more powerful power stations.

"Rapid Recharge" compared to previous generations or the slowest group in the competition.
