I've purchased seconds from Sony eBay before and had no issues… or stains on the products :)

      Probs brand new

      • Yeah, most likely. I picked mine up from JB HiFi for $336 the other day so I'm kinda at a loss here. I would say they are better than the Jabra Sports Elite (which I own) and the AirPods Pro (which I also own).

        • May be slightly better sound and noise cancelling than Airpods Pro but definitely not in fit and comfort.

          • @expatOz: It depends on the ears I suppose. I have no issues with fittings so far.

        • I'm in a weird situation. I love the earphones but the fit seems to be a hassle for me. The right earbud fights perfectly, but the left one feels like it's about the fall out although it doesn't? I tried all different tips, nothing works. I'm on the verge of buying the Conply tips but they cost quite a bit.

          • @jefft1: I have trouble with wireless earbuds fitting as well (Huawei ones, not these Sony's)

I've had luck with generic foam eartips at less that $2 a pop, e.g.

            https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32846139355.html

Only issue with foam eartips is the clearance on the charging case, might be a bit tight…

            • @Tigerhacker: I saw the comply ones and they are advertised as able to fit the case perfectly. But online reviews say that they don't fit the earphones at all. I'll have a look at the one you just posted. Thanks !

          • @jefft1: I have the comply tips that suit these but found the noise isolation was much worse than the Sony tips. As I use these mostly while travelling I prefer the Sony tips for better noise isolation, for a gym session or run the comply tips are more comfortable when sweating.

            • @tomlikesbeetroot: Would you mind telling me if they fit in the case perfectly? And whether they fit the earphones perfectly too?

          • @jefft1: Due to the length of Comply buds, I've been advised that there may be small issues with it fitting in the case (the lid will no longer be able to shut completely). Just an FYI.

      • It's usually the items they label "box damaged" that are brand new. I've bought "seconds" headphones from Sony before, and they've come in a sealed but damaged retail box with all the instructions etc. But I've also bought a "seconds" Xperia that came in a plain box with just a USB charger and cable, so YMMV.

    • Omg. I sold mine new $360 just couple months ago….

    • +1

Bought the black ones. Hoping they're actually new. Took my Air Pods Pro back last week. Just not worth $400. These at $270 seem a lot more sensible, particularly given the better sound and noise cancelling.

      • +3

Of course… Apple products are made to rip people off….

    • Tempted… It would be a good price for a damaged box but the all time low price on this isn't far from the price of this deal. If it's a refurb, I'd rather wait… Hope the price will drop back to around 300$

    • For the owners here please can you verify if there is any lag when playing YouTube video?

      • None that I've noticed. But I haven't had enough time with them yet.

      • Just google the keyword headset and lag and YouTube….

      • +1

No lag. Had mine since the good guys pricing error on release. Great product. Only issue is using them for calls, almost worthless if there is any ambient sound. I'd still recommend them taking that into account, and apparently they're working on a firmware fix

    • Great audio. But struggle using these on phone calls. The person on the other side can't hear a thing. Its a known issue. Hope future firmware updates can fix it.

      • I’ve also had other people complain they can’t hear me well, but only when I’ve been outside, indoors haven’t had any complaints. From my end though they are excellent for call quality so hopefully a firmware issue can resolve.

Apart from that these are the best headphones I’ve had.

    • Just wipe off the old ear wax and good as new.

    • How do you know if you need an air purifier? when i stay at my partners place, and over night I sometimes get a stuffy nose but then throughout the day it clears up could that be due to dust? would this help anyone know?

      • You may have an allergy - you can always see a doctor and get a referral if you think you are sensitive to a specific allergen (dust, pollen, cats, dogs).

As the manufacturers of these things are at pains to say, they won't help with dust allergies unless you vacuum and clean often and do other things to reduce the amount of dust in the house.

    • is this any good for office apps and general internet surfing? i don’t play games.

      • Yes, this is exactly what it is designed for. The "gaming monitor" in the advert is misleading. It does not have the specs for it to be considered one.

For office apps and general internet surfing, this is perfect. Albeit, it's a little too big for my taste to be sitting in front of.

Yeah but 10 generally isn't enough, will expire super quick so I find it best to share it here.

        • Go deal got one, thanks!

        • I sort of understand where you're coming from, but this forum is a second class citizen.

You lose the ability to easily search by product, brand, store, etc. Finding historically lowest prices becomes harder.

It's also not as visible to the wider community. (Don't get me wrong, this is a *benefit * to those of us subscribed to this forum 😉)

EDIT: Oh, and look - 21 hours later and only one sold, 9 still available 😉

          • @robinCTS: Mods like to delete stuff and people like complaining. Not worth the hassle

            • @belongsinforums: 🤔 I haven't heard about Mods deleting deals just because they only have 10 quantity and/or sell out too quickly.

Fair point about people liking to complain. (Personally, I just ignore them 😉)

              • @robinCTS: Sometimes if it's less than 10 they stay up, but it's arbitrarily decided by mods. Other times, it's 10 at times of posting, but items quickly get snapped up and someone reports the deal for low quantity then it gets moved here anyway

                • @belongsinforums:

Sometimes if it's less than 10 they stay up, but it's arbitrarily decided by mods.

As Neil has pointed out (thanks), that's precisely as allowed for in the guidelines (bar the completely arbitrary bit if that was your intent). Plus it's possible that mods, being human, occasionally might miss/err in the checking of quantities, or choose to err on the side of caution. (See the following re Amazon.)

Other times, it's 10 at times of posting, but items quickly get snapped up and someone reports the deal for low quantity then it gets moved here anyway.

Some sites/marketplaces, such as eBay, show stats on previous sales. Others, like Amazon don't (as far as I'm aware off - correct me if I'm wrong). Thus it may not be possible, by the time a mod gets around to checking a deal, to determine the actual quantity at the time of posting, and thus it becomes a subjective decision (aka seemingly arbitrary) as to whether or not to move the deal here.

Finally, there's the "general rule" bit. So even if it does have 10 or more available, it might still be moved here. Like I said previously, however, I haven't noticed it happening, and I doubt it would happen very often. YMMV, of course.

                  • @robinCTS: There's just no point in spending time posting a quality deal with good information if it's likely to get moved here. I understand why this system is in place, but I think a better solution that allows for deal indexing and low price records would greatly improve the usefulness of ozbargain.

      • Deal Posting Guidelines:

        Limited Quantity
If your deal has limited quantity, please mention it in the description. As a general guide, deals with less than 10 items in stock at the time of submission may be unpublished, but moderators may, at their discretion, allow deals to stay if they are potentially useful to the community.

It's also Australian stock with tax invoice which makes it even better.

I think i'm going to purchase one for wider portraits.

    • That's a great price.

        • Now it's all gone! I hope I get better AF performance compared to my adapted Canon version.

          • @eug: That went quick. Native will definitely be faster than adapted - make sure to update firmware.

            • @cyrax83: @cryax83 @eug seems to be back if you still want it

              • @BarneyKB: It was actually me who bought the last one then. :)

    • i think the new sony 35 1.8 is overall better lens?

      • I did look at some reviews.
The 35 1.8 does have smoother autofocus (so useful if you are using it for video) but the latest firmware on the Sigma 35 1.4 has improved it.
If you are into video I'd consider the 35 1.8 but for photos the 35 1.4 is the one to get imo (and at this price it's cheaper than the ~$900 Sony). 1.4 vs 1.8 bokeh is pretty different.
If size/weight is more of a concern, then the 35 1.8 is awesome.
