Don't be lazy, do it yourself

      $1200 for a refurbished 65" X85G. Bloody tempting. Is a X95G really worth the extra ~$800-1000?

You can get it even cheaper if you drive a Toyota. Download the myToyota app and register your vehicle. There is a rewards code for up to 40% off RRP selected models.

    55 95G is $1379.40
    75 95G is $3119.40
    85 95G is $5039.40

Unfortunately 65 95G is not listed.

    However the 65 85G is $1559.40

  • Waiting for someone to rain the parade saying "It was $5095.75 + Delivery (Free C&C) @ Harvey Norman in October" https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/491731 ;-)
Anyway, op's is the best deal currently. From my experience, I would be happy to buy "damaged box" from Sony to save.

  • I do want this, but with the 75inch I reached the point where I had to move the couch back, so it doesn't seem that needed. Though the wall might look better with more tv coverage…

  • PEACHY20 only gives 5.5% discount, not 20%!
    (Because max discount is $300).

  • TV is good, not too sure about Android TV though?

    • +3

It's brilliant…. Especially on the higher spec models wirh better hardware to handle it.

  • Android tv apps are rubbish. Contemplating buying an Apple TV 4K, which kind of defeats the purpose of buying an Android TV. Le sigh…

Source: I own this tv in 75" form

    • Like which ones?

      • Like webOs (LG) or even the crappy Tizen (Samsung) is apparently better?
Or at least it was 1-2 years ago. Not sure how Android TV is now?

        Edit:
Oups sorry you meant the apps

        • +1

Well LG (and I presume Samsung) don't have Kayo a tear later…. LG doesn't even have the NBA app…

Android shots on them. It's much better than my first 2015 Android TV anyway. Definitely less buggy overall.

    • I use kodi all the time on my sony tv. Works perfect.

You know you are keeping up with the joneses when your TV is worth more than your neighbour's car.

    • Are your priorities wrong when your TV is worth more than your own car?

      • Nope, I know people whose camera kits are worth more their their cars, and people whose gaming PC rigs costing more than their cars. Hell, at least one person paid more for their latest smart phones than their cars (actually they don't even own a car).

  • They just put up the 55" for $1,599.00, $1,299.00 with the $300 off.

  • Annnnd just bought the 65" for $1900.
