Dang!! Wish I had some disposable income right now…

    • +2

these were $180 during the black friday sales

      • Probably good thing I didn’t see it. Anyone got feedback if they’ve bought and been able to use it?

      • +6

Those were different timings (16-20-20-38), These have tighter timings of 16-18-18-36

      • This is the "C-series" model CMW32GX4M2C3200C16 with timing 16-18-18-36 vs the "E-series" (16-20-20-38) which was $180 during Black Friday.

Should be good with AMD though if it's the C-series > https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/500732

  • The more these deals pop up the more I think I got stung on my 16gb Trident Z RGB for $135

    • imagine the people that payed 2x what you did, here is a deal i posted of these exact kits for similar price but half the size @ 16gb: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/402306

classic "free market" "supply and demand" market action, i'm skipping ddr4 and will see what ddr5 brings

      • Actually last year it came out there was alot of collusion amongst memory creators that artificially inflated prices.

Right now it's just a class action lawsuit.

The actual charge of collusion which they got busted for was from early to mid 2000s.

And just to make you feel even better, I paid $250 (at that time discounted) for my 16GB non-RGB just a few months before that old ad.

edit: also, it was 3000MHz rather than 3200

      • On the same boat, I’d spend $265 on 16gb trident Z 3000 CL15 back in July 2018. Still kicking myself but that was the best option at the time.

  • If I paired these up with 2x 8GB 3200 Corsair RGB RAM (same timings) would I experience any downfalls? Running a Ryzen 3700x.

  • I just saw this as well and thought DAMN that's a good deal for the C series (not E).

    • Pity Amazon doesn't price match itself and whilst I could refund/repurchase the item again, it turns out I used a $30 promotion credit on the $241 price two weeks ago so even if I refund the order, I only get the net amount paid (and no refund of the single use promotional credit) of $211 so net net no difference :(

  • Wish I could figure a sure way to check compatibility - have TechFast-issued Biostar B45M2 w/ R5 2600… the AMD compatibility list seems really limited and I can't find anything useful from Biostar… any suggestions?

  • Very good, Amazon has 12% cashback right now so I cancelled and reordered!

    • Yeah, it's a really good deal at that price point.

  • how overclockable are these?
