Is this much different to the automatic breville oracle touch @ $3000
Oracle touch includes auto tamp and double boiler.
Just to clarify, this machine is single boiler.
You can steam milk,then extract coffee (or voice versa), but not at the same time.
I have this machine, for 9 months now. Absolutely brilliant no brainer at this price, with the bonus kit, as I paid $1030 on special with 2kg of P&R coffee and that was an ozbargain deal back then - we've pulled 500+ coffees through it so far.
Even for two coffess, you don't need a double boiler, you just pour your milk, microwave your bodum cup for 1 minute while the milk steams, and the coffee grinds and you tamp. After that, you extract and then dump the beans, wash everything and repeat.
I'd never done anything more fancy than use a pod before this machine, now we can't live without it every morning and half the cafes taste like crap.

Be aware if the frother on this is the same as the Oracle then it's junk. The frother on the el cheapo Breville Bambino Plus leaves the Oracle's for dead.
Really? I’ve used both machines and bambinos wand wasn’t the best. On the other hand I love the oracle’s wand.
I think it’s the same as the bambino’s. the heat detection mechanism is the same anyway where it’s on the base of the jug where the oracle does it though the wand which is what makes me think it’s the same as the bambino’s.
Complete wank, the only benefit is the automatic frother if that floats your boat. Forget about giving it instructions with barely a hint of moisture on your fingers.
