This is the newer model of the M10 with reduced resolution. The old M10 had 1920 x 1200, this new M10 HD has 1280 x 800. The older model is not on sale and is double the price. This also has Micro USB and not Type C like the older M10

    I'm not sure if that's correct. This is the HD version and the standard one is 1920 x 1200. I've been looking for can't find anything to confirm or deny.

      This is the new model which of course has the lower specs… and why they called it the HD? The LD (Low Definition) might have been better. And Micro USB instead of Type C on the M10.

        720p is "HD", so so is this 800p. IIRC lenovo now call 1080p "FHD".
        It is a time of great technological regress.

          @yow: Maybe 2020 will bring the Lenovo M10 SVGA, 2021 the Lenovo M10 VGA, 2022 the Lenovo M10 EGA and 2023 the Lenovo M10 CGA!

  BTW US is now selling the new M7 https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/tablets/android-tablets/lenovo-…
  But only the 1GB, wifi version so far (they'd announced 3GB and LTE versions).

  Anyone know if this would this be suitable to use to cast to a 4K TV via a chromecast? Or are the specs too low? Would it also only cast at the lower resolution of the tablet?

    Casting is direct to the TV so the resolution of the tablet or phone doesn't matter.
