Apparently its by default to a random optus email. I just spent ages trying to sort it out. Oh and still wasn't eligible.
I do. It said the number was tied to some @optusnet.com.au address but it wasn't. My account was initially set up with my yahoo email address. I've had the 60GB Optus prepaid deal since the beginning of the year but never really bothered to set up Optus Perks properly. Only tried it today as I'm looking for some cheap Hoyts movie tickets. Anyway I basically had to re-confirm my details on the app as well as the desktop. Wasn't eligible for this kmart gift card in the end though.

Do I need to be in store before I click the gift card link in the email? I guess I don’t as gift card is valid for 4 years but just want to ask what you guys did.
My guess is you will receive a pdf copy (with a barcode for in-store transactions) as well as a card number + pin for online transactions. I could be wrong but in the past, that is what has happened for Coles and Woolies eGift Cards
Thanks just clicked the redeem link and yes it is just like coles/wws egfit card with card number + pin.
oh well they are still charging me $36 BYO for my $115/mth S10+ cap (since April) and ive spoken to them via chat/called to have them fix the issue no less than 14 times…i guess im still well ahead.

Was able to get it to work just now from the Optus App, it wasn't working yesterday. It actually shows it on the home page in the app.

Called up the Optus perks team.
Their answer is: Only some selected perks members are lucky enough the get it.
It works in cycles so maybe if you weren't lucky enough to get it this time maybe you're get it at the next cycle.
