Gigabyte Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER WindForce OC 8GB $623.20 Delivered @ FTC Computers eBay

370
PEACHY20

Was notified of a $70 drop on price as the item was in my cart. Combined with PEACHY20 and supposed elegibility with the Gigabyte SSD offer I couldn't resist: https://au.aorus.com/event-detail.php?i=1223

Beware of much negative feedback relating to this seller, I would use PayPal at the very least and expect a delay in receiving the item.

I spoke to FTC over the phone who let me know that they had stock in the warehouse but they have a significant number of orders for this specific GPU (60+) to fill.

Sorry edited price as I had copied from last deal**

Also worth noting that FTC told me on the line the PCBs for these Gigabyte 2070 Super cards are reference.. that means it'll be easy to find a waterblock (if you're so inclined) to fit these

Another reminder again that this is the Windforce OC not the Gaming OC. I ordered the Windforce OC first and returned it to FTC with no problem (Just waiting for refund to be processed). I'm spoilt and have Ebay Plus as well.

Ordered the Gaming OC version and that took a while for them to ship. They give out notifications that they're sending it but it took almost a week and a half to be delivered.

Makes me think there's just a backlog of orders for them to work through like OP says especially when Black Friday was around.

How much difference is there and is the cost worth it?

      • It was 20 dollars more at that time, and if I'm going to use the card for at least 2-3 years, I didn't mind paying more for it.
The OzB forum at the time said the heatsink was slightly larger physically so I went for it.
Didn't research too much into it.

        • +1

The clock of the GPU was 1815mhz for gaming OC and 1785 for the windforce.

As tea said the heatsink is slightly bigger on the gaming too but not relevant as I will put waterblock on mine and get a pretty solid OC anyway

    • I wanted the Gaming OC too but they didn't drop the price on that one. I called them and what the guy said is that the super is already priced cheaper on eBay than instore so it's not likely much margin would come off it

      So I bought this!

    • You returned it… you better of not got the ssd deal from the returned one, thats evil and blocks someone else .. im also not sure if i got your returned one lol

  • Damn it just open my one today which I paid 679 from previous deal. Crying at home Hahaha

Thanks, price matching with 28 Degrees since I bought one for 750~ in September.
Will be interesting to see if they keep dropping much lower

    • Are the fees high on that card?

      • +1

No fees on this card, just pay off your balance before your statement to avoid the 1% insurance charge

    • Did you try the price match on the buy it now price or the post coupon code price?

      • +1

I've matched the final post-discount price a few times now and they've never complained or pushed back on me

    • Holy cow, I just signed up for it and didn't know 28 Degrees price matched. What's been the usual stuff you've claimed with the price matching?

      • You'll want to make sure you have their insurance setup, from memory it prompts you when signing up to them?
        https://pds.28degreescard.com.au/

Mainly electronics! Things that I know are going to drop price fairly significantly like a TV, got all my PC parts through it, phone, power banks, headphones.

        • Does te insurance still apply even if you pay off your closing balance at each statement?

          • @jelicano: Sure does, yep! I pay mine off before the end of every month and no worries.
I've maybe paid $15~ total for the insurance since I got the card from forgetting to pay. But claimed a few hundred bucks at least so definitely worth it

            • @FrugalFrella: cancel the insurance, iv had the card for years and never paid a $1 in insurance

              • @macmanluke: Insurance cost is 1% of your balance when the statement comes in. In a few cases I've forgotten to pay it off but overall it's 100% worth it

Someone on the past deal said they got in contact with FTC / Gigabyte whom both confirmed

    • +2

can confirm, I got my 2070 super gigabyte and asked for an emailed invoice for the deal.

Already approved application and am getting 1TB SSD

      • How long did it take you to get approved?

      • How did you get an invoice? DM FTC?

        • +2

DM'ed FTC as they're dumb and didn't provide one in the box.

They have to provide one by law and if they don't tell kappa eBay about it.

    • Hot damn that's pretty tempting then. Like I don't need a graphics card right now but it's still excellent.

  • does anyone know what the "Sold as a special offer" is under the unit sold history?

    • I think its when the potential buyer messages the seller to haggle down the price. but then you could miss out on this deal because it sells out to save like $5 or %10 .. lol

Just sharing my experience with FTC. Ordered with them on Monday arvo (09/12/19) and received the item on Thursday arvo (12/12/19).

The card came well packaged in a box with air pillows and was delivered by TNT.

  • Do you still get a copy of Call of Duty with these cards?

    • nah that deal ends on 16th or 18th and we won't receive it by then lol

  • hmm tempting, really good price, but recent FTC farce puts me off a bit, should I go ahead??

    • I'm ok to do so as I don't need the card super urgently as well as being protected by PayPal

  • Was tempted, but now out of stock.

    • +1

$55 more to get the Gaming OC 3X version if you want :)

  • +1

If you thinking of getting a Gigabyte 2070 super, better get the GC version with the usb-c port and not the newer GD/3X version. It's got better cooling and components on the card.
3X version has different heatsink, cheaper components and no usb-c port.

    • I was actually looking for a card with an extra hdmi port.. but it just gets worse lol, If people aren't careful they get the aweful 3X version with missing ports and no rgb, worse parts etc

with this i can atleast put a Hdmi adapter on the usb port i think?

      • Should be able to.

  • damn it ended :(((((((((((

    • +1

      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GIGABYTE-RTX-2070-SUPER-GAMING-O…

Get this one, good older GC non 3X version with the good parts.

      • what do you mean by non 3x version? isn't this the same as black one originally posted? I actually was watching those two GC for a while and thought they were the same but different colour.

        • oh i get it. one you gave me was gaming oc! i got it hahahah thanks

  • Just as feedback. Ordered on Sat 14th - was sent by Auspost today (Tues 17th). Messaged them today 6pm asking for a tax invoice, they emailed me back 3 hours later at 9pm with one attached. Super impressed so far.

    • +1

Ordered Sat 14th, followed up on Tuesday and posted that day using Austpost.

      Delivered Thursday 19th.

Tax invoice was emailed automatically, I didn't need to ask for one.

      • Mine was also posted on Tuesday, however the tracking is still "Received by Australia Post". What a weird "EXPRESS POST".

        • Bushfires may affect.

          I’m in Sydney Metro FWIW.

  • So basically they had to clear stock because a new brand name is coming , Though for us this was a good thing, it means we didnt get that deal because of dodgy reasons like ex mining cards repackaged or someone dropped a box of 50 Gigabyte GPU'S when moving them with a forklift xD

    https://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/joao-silva/…

Also the new series.. doesn't seem to have increased VRAM ,It's still 8gb , so not sure if it would of been much better.. and it would probably be $250 more then what we paid and they already have a model for tons of ports and rgb everywhere "Aorus"

    • The 3X/GD refresh used cheaper components for the 2070 super vs the non-3X/GC, wonder if the eagle series is along the same lines or is it back to using better components again.

    • Edit mine arrived with a tiny box damage and no box seal "I do live in perth so it did travel a bit and wasn't protected by foam, just a thin bag, card is fine and sealed, not sure if the seal is real though.. says gigabyte on the tape but could easily be faked .. no idea , now checking to see if the SSD deal is valid and i didnt recieve a Returned product
