Bought Chinese version from AliExpress for $32 delivered. Got it delivered in 3 weeks time. Great band.

Ordered mi band 4 from this seller before, came in 2 x business days.

    • You meant 20+ days?

      • +1

        I meant from OP Apusexpress2.

  • Does this have swim laps or nfc contactless payment (do any of the China smart watches)?

    • This one has nfc but it does not work outside China. Apparently it has swim laps hut I haven't tested it.

Huawei honor band 5 is better, just take my word for it. I promise you.

I bought several for family over the year. More features and better value for money.

How much is Huawei honor band 5 ?

      Can you post a link

Good enough, lazy search. I have also purchased a few from Tomtop before.

There will be a voucher or two available on Tomtop to bring it down a few more dollars, but at the price listed at the moment it's a no-brainer.

If anyone has Kogan First, its $44.10 at Kogan right now using code FESTIVE.

@smogg: holy crap, $17 shipping to Melb for something this small.

I want to save my free trial for something big and expensive to ship, although Ruslan thinks this is one of them.

Agreed, happy honour band 5 owner here

    • I've got a Mi Band 3. Sometimes it fails to read my HRM.
Have you had this issue with the Huawei Honor Band 5?
Also, does this oxygen sensor work well? I've seen sensors for this which cost like $500.

      • Sp02 works just fine. Use case scenario is probably only good for people with health conditions who need to check that every so often. Hopefully one of the regular firmware updates will integrate it into overall health monitoring.

The trusleep actigraph and breathing monitor have more than paid for itself, as I use CPAP and I had an anomaly with my machine. It basically gave me the heads up that something was wrong, while my machine was telling me otherwise. I have no doubt the HB5 could alert someone to having breathing problems when they're asleep, which you'd then chase up with your doctor.

        HRM works well btw.

I want to see if it changes after a heavy set at the gym, and if it can tell me when I'm ready for the next set.

          trusleep

I have trouble falling asleep with the Mi band on, I tend to sleep on my hand so it digs into my face and wakes me up :(

          I promise you.

          and

          HRM works well btw.

Have concinced me to buy it lol. I was going to get the Mi Band 4 but got this instead.

    • care to elaborate?

      • About what specifically?

        • how the Band 5 is better. Thinking of getting one.

          • +1

@RangaWal: More sleep tracking features, especially the breathing monitor, which was a big selling point for me. Sp02 (not necessary but useful, and it was enabled on all hb5's in the last few month and it's likely they will integrate it as part of the other health monitoring features, HRM and the way it measures (either super detailed or less detailed but more efficiently), and regular firmware updates. A lot of the reviews on YT are old, and any supposed downsides it had or whatever have all been fixed or added in with updates.

You're less likely to lose the device, compared to the Xiaomi design.

    • Does the Honor have a built in audio player? I want to control the music on my phone with it, not put music onto the band itself.

The advertised battery life of Band 4 is 20 days compared to the Honor's 14 days, which was a draw for me.

      • Takes like 45 minutes to charge the watch at most. Not a deal breaker for me. You can adjust many things to increase battery life, but I like all the monitoring.

Yes it has music control for your phone.

        • I'm going overseas and don't want to take the charger with me. I want it to last my whole trip, which is 19 days.

Another review I have watched comparing the two models, after 3 days, the Honor battery was flat, but the Band 4 only lost 20%.

          • @lostn: 3 days? Lol

Did they have all the monitoring on maximum and screen on always and maximum brightness?

Real world use ime says otherwise.

The charger is a tiny little clip and a short micro USB connector. USB type a to micro usb. Very compact.

            • @Oofy Doofy: They had the same settings for both Bands.

Maybe. But if I have the choice of packing that thing or not I'll take the one that doesn't require me to pack it. I travel light, sometimes with just a carry on.

    • Could you please confirm if it has vibrating alarm clock function?

Free delivery eBay plus. If there's a filter on ozbargain I would filter out anything with this keyword

  • Ordered mine on Tuesday, arrived today..really impressed with the postage.

  • Remember you need to give Xiaomi access to all your messages for this to work.

  • What's the difference between the Chinese and Global versions?

  • I think the chinese ver has NFC but others dont?

I am surprised that local gov hasn't figured out our phones and bands have nfc, so how about open you api so we don't have to carry an extra opal card? also the door security tag

  • Has anyone had theirs shipped yet?
