Been a while since these were on sale. Not as good as previous but still not a bad price. $5.50 for 1.5kg. Believe it’s nationwide.

Absolutely every part of an animal that can be used is already gone.

  • Have the Coles Dim Sims been discontinued? Could only see these last time I looked.

    • I have been looking for the coles ones as well. Haven't seen them in some time

Great for Christmas with this fabulous recipe vom

  • My coles never has dim sims in stock, even when full price always an empty spot in the freezer. saw the sale tag on this morning, but again empty shelf. why even bother. have been driving half an hour to shop at woolworths for any proper shopping. /rant

  • Are these any good? Thanks in advance…need to feed the hordes.

there's been no dim sims in my local coles in months, i'm starting to suffer withdrawals.

Since the shelters offered free cat adoption.

  • They use beef/mutton instead of pork, based on the ingredients list.

Got a pack of these from Woolworths last week when they were on special three. So much fat comes out with a longer oven bake. Not finishing these.

I wonder what great meat quality they put in them to sell at $3.67 KG :)

Think stinky has the answer lol .

    • They're only 24% meat, woolies hotdog are $4.50 a kilo and are 75% meat.

      Plus sheep anuses are delicious.

  • Still taste good air fryed?

30 dim sims is hardly a marathon.

  • Best way to cook them?

I have a very shallow pan fry, electric microwave and big oven at my disposal.

I have a feeling the pan fry won't cook the middle.

    • 200 for 12mins in my air fryer does a pretty good job.

      • +6

        Steam them.

Never done it before and honestly scared to try anything without direction and supervision otherwise I might burn this house down.

        • How long do you rekon?

Mine normally turn out pretty soggy, hence the Air Fryer

          • @PepsImax600ml: I forget how long, whatever it says on the pack and they are fine usually.

They also say you can cut them in half and cook them on a BBQ, have to give that a go sometime.

          • @PepsImax600ml: 30 minutes is recommended when you steam them on the stovetop, IIRC.

I bought an egg cooker from Aldi that I use to do dim sims and gyoza, it cooks them perfectly every time but I've never actually sat down and timed it. I haven't used my steamer on the stove top in years.

I have an air fryer lying around but we never got to use it.

Mainly because I don't know how hard clean up with it is.

I like to keep things pretty clean and spotless but if it is a lot of work then the oven or pan fry might be better.

Oven is probably easiest if done right can almost set and forget and clean up is simple.

Pan fry needs constant monitoring and clean can be more trickier especially with more oil.

Steam no idea never done it but I know there is maybe two methods in the microwave and on the stove?

Air fry seems simple enough I should try it maybe tomorrow with some sausages as a test run.

air fryer is very easy to clean, barely any hassle and you can also put tin foil on the bottom. For example I put some tin foil in and some dim sims in and then basically no cleaning :)
