Boxing day sale on Jetstar! Tons of destinations, but the one that stood out for me was Hawaii.

The cost of accommodation in Hawaii offsets any bargains airfares. Try getting a decent hotel for a family of four for under $500 per night.

  The weak dollar doesn't help either.
  
  However they could be coupled with a cheap domestic flight to get you on to the mainland for reasonable money.

    hostels are the best option for solo travel. cheap and meet new people.
    spend more money in food, activities and drinks.
    just go back to hostel to sleep.

Park shore is a decent place to stay. Book when they have their Black Friday sales and its a cheap(ish)holiday.

  I have been the Bali and Hawaii both. Bali depends where you are staying, could be very tricky.
  Hawaii is expensive but I liked it, accommodation & activities are expensive - could push your budget.
