  • No delivery available to Melbourne.

  • Doesn’t deliver to my address weird

  • Doesn't send to Sydney

    • Strange.. these guys are in Villawood, New South Wales

They do pickup if you have a van or ute to fit the box. its too big for an SUV
      https://www.videopro.com.au/

65" fits just but not 75"

      • how do you fit 65" to a SUV? lying it down? i was told it has to be standing up. so no way to fit in a suv if that's the case.

        • Why would you need to stand it up? Just curious ive transported large tvs face down with no issues

          • +1

@TightBungholio: I'm not quite sure. I saw someone said before that it needs to be transported by standing up and the staff in store told me the same thing. I think it's probably due to increased risk of screen damage. I was planning to pick it up instead of delivery as I have a big SUV.

          • @TightBungholio: I reckon it's a left over from the plasma TV days.

        • +2

I've transported so many TV's laying them down without a box or padding and never had any issues :) and they were getting smashed back there with speed bumps.

They are packaged to be transported vertically and its a safeguard that the manufacture states this to stores so clueless packing staff dont STACK THEM on top of each other that will definitely damage them and more so if they get transported stacked up in a van.

          • +7

@vid_ghost: What company do you work for? Just want to know who I need to avoid in future..

          • +2

@vid_ghost: They are built so support their weight vertically not horizontally. Its increases risk basically. A jarring bump vertically is much less likely to cause damage than if horizontal.

            • @Xizor: They are made to be standing still supported by the base stand but not made to take shock from that base stand point.

Shock is shock and if they are laying down outside of a box the same shock is absorbed by a greater surface area of mostly bendable plastic backing.

They are packaged with padding to be transported vertically and stored vertically.

This is the only reason why its suggested.

        • I was able to fit 65" in a 2005 corolla ~80° angle. SUV should be no problem, if cannot fit in your SUV, then burn that SUV!

      • Got mine from last binglee deal. I have a small box trailer. I transported it standing on its side. The guy from the store said it's ok, they do it all the time. A Ute will be a different story though.

      • how would you go about choosing pickup from ebay purchase? also the location is showing qld on ebay

      • Hi, on their site it doesn't list a Villawood address.
I would like to buy one but it looks like the only pick up addresses are in Qld.

      • appliance central is at villawood !

  • +2

What the point cheap but you can't buy it?

  • +5

Tvs have absolutely crashed down in price. 75inch for under $1500 is insane

    • Same model $1400ish at JB hifi/GG

      • For JB, just tried adding it to cart to check the shipping (supposed to be free for 75inch atm), and it seems they won't deliver it to Melbourne. Kinda misleading.

        • GG is delivering with additional postage. $1475 is the price plus postage, OOS in Victoria

    • +6

75" in 2019? My gf must be really disappointed in me now.

  • I know there is a bit of a price difference but this or LG B9 65" would be a better buy for the buck?

    • +7

The OLED every day of the week.

    • a bit? 1250 vs 2450, more than a bit thats x2 the price

    • -2

Go down the middle and consider QLED

  • +6

I wouldn't go for anything unless it's OLED personally.

    • +6

75" LCD is better then 55" OLED :) same price.
Size matters when it comes to viewing movies and shows.

      • Not if the display quality matters to you

        • +21

          This isn't OzQuality

        • +3

Within reason. Id take a decent 75 LED over a 55 OLED in a living room every day. A 65 though is another matter.

          • +1

@Xizor: Nah.. just sit closer to the oled… way better than a average 75 lcd easily

        • Well projectors suck in quality but to watch a movie on 150" screen is something we still all love doing.

          • -1

@vid_ghost: Wow, blanket statement or what.

You should also say everything less than 32" 4K OLED is turd.

      • I guess that makes a 75 inch Soniq for $998 better value than this..You got to own a OLED first to know the difference between the two..try watching a movie on that and then on an lcd..or go to one of your nearest stores check the difference..the difference is night and day..an entry level TV doesn't really match up to the contrast, blacks, wide viewing angles that you get on an OLED..

        • +1

OLED is better but brand name 2019 4K HDR TV's with local dimming look pretty good and size is king.. no one will buy a generic trash TV if they cared at all about picture quality.

          • @vid_ghost: You're right about 2019 LED TVs with full local dimming being good but the RU7100 with very limited local dimming (if any) is not one..so a Q80r or Q90r would be better but not this..

    • we are talking about the hisense 55 here which is going for 1200 (or less if you price match) tbh i take the samsung as i keep reading more reviews about the hisense oled

    • OLED isn't the answer to everything.

  • -3

Looks like JB HIFI has the same TV for slightly cheaper? https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/samsung-series-7-ru7100-7…

    • Showing as $1463?

    • +2

Not cheaper because it has no code to lower it to $1253

      • Oh right yeah I forgot about the 15% off - JB may price match though?

        • Most likely not because it’s Ebay, but contact your local Videopro and they might match the coupon price.

    • Says $1463 on that link?

  • where do they post?? everywere seems to be excluded

  • I just bought this from jb with free delivery. Got down to $1439 only.

  • Man I wish they would have sales on a 75" LG OLED. I would happily invest 4-5k for it.

    • unless you move to Brisband. It seems that they don't post to other places.

Perhaps they'll be on sale at other places too if they're trying to move them on.

  • -2

$1475 when you click the link

  • would ebay price guarantee work even though they don’t ship to your certain area?

    • so there is no pickup like the guy above mentions?

    • Works perfectly fine for my postcode. 4115.
$145 for shipping. Or can pick up for free.

    • +2

Local pick up available from Eagle Farm,QLD.

Deal is obtainable but with exclusions.

  • Posted a deal late last night. David Jones has stock again. 1399. Del 55 for me.

With cash rewards the price ended up being cheaper than this deal with quoted postage.

Also I am happy to go with a better customer service outlet also should I have any probs.

    Hopefully this helps others

    • Hi, shows as $2849 on the DJ site?
      https://www.davidjones.com/Product/22600751/75-190cm-UHD-4K-…

      Where did you see $1399?

      David.

    • I also don't see the $1399. Also not sure how cash rewards brings it under the advertised price as rewards for me is 5.6%. Would love to get this deal as you have mentioned above if it is still available. Cheers

      • Hi guys.

Don’t know why the mods didn’t allow my post.

I thought this was a good deal but again mostly unobtainable across most postcodes.

        Prof of purchase last night.

I’ll try following up with my original post to see if the link there still works. Again googling it seems to have gone back up. Boo.

        • Looking at the post it seems to have been snapped up pretty quickly by people. Only 4 upvotes and then apparently out of stock or the price was re raised.

Sorry you didn’t get in on it.

I know the second best option I had up my sleeve was JB if you can get some discounted gift cards from the entertainment book or the like. I know they have free delivery on 75” till the end of the year. Works out to be about the same and the after sales support would be a lot better too.
