Are the sugar free zooper doopers half price too? Asking for a friend shifty eyes

    • +3

Yes, the whole Zooper Dooper range is half price in Coles

Sugar free ones are awesome. You can't tell they don't have sugar.

        • Probably use something just as bad but in MUCH smaller print than the sugar free label

Really? I thought they had very little flavour, and they seemed to freeze harder. It was like eating plain ice.

        • I just had one and you must have bad taste buds if you think that, they are flavourless in comparison to the originals and you can tell that they have no sugar because of how lacking it is in flavour. Won't be buying them again, just tastes like ice.

Didn't know we were getting such rampant inflation Zooper Doopers were $2.50 50 % off early last year !

    • Yeh noticed a few things getting price bumps (at all stores, not just Coles)

Good price but does anyone else feel like there's too much plastic waste with Zooper Doopers? I can't bring myself to buy them for this reason

    • Yes completely agree

the problem is, do you have a better way to wrap a bunch of individual sized sugary liquid sticks that can be placed on a shelf and in the freezer? Anything inherently messy is going to have a problem. Not sure what the solution is.

      • Maybe Cardboard tubes, like the push popsicles you find in the ice cream section.

However they still need to be lined with a thin layer of plastic (water proofing) and the manufacturing cost of the packaging itself would also drastically increase the COGS

      • Sell multi-use hard plastic tube with lids.
Then sell the sugar liquid to fill them up with. Oh wait that's cordial.

      • I was searching for the Calippo style reusable silicone ones I've seen in shops, but found this which is closer in style. Zip lock

Can't you take them back to coles/woolies for their soft plastics recycling? They turn them into playground equipment & the like.

      Coles has Recycling
      https://www.coles.com.au/corporate-responsibility/sustainabi…

      • Definitely appropriate for soft plastic recycling. Not sure how clean they have to be…

    • There are organic, renewable alternatives to plastic now.

  • Do you want to know how I got these scars? Zooper Doopers are so bad for the environment.
