Neotech 8" Ceiling Speaker $168 - Post Approx $12

20

I was on another forum last night and discovered these speakers on special.

I spoke with a friend who sold these previously and he highly recommended them to me.

This morning I went down and met Matt from The Cable Connection (he seems to get a good wrap here) and picked up a pair of these speakers.

The price does seem very reasonable and I certainly think it represents a bargain worthy of being my first!

    hmmm…. interesting……

You can buy the speakers for $168 here http://thecableconnection.com.au/Neotech-8-2-way-High-end-ce…

or you can buy them with free shipping for $199 http://thecableconnection.com.au/Neotech-8-2-way-High-end-ce…

at $30 more expensive for the same product….. it's not really free shipping….is it?

  • Hi guys,

Firstly, thanks giannip for the bargain!!

    @andy19363 - Fair point.

I had originally decided to do these at a set price with free shipping but then I thought it was also be a good offer for the other forums I frequent so I created the $168 price for the people who want to pick up.

Even if you add the postage to the deal it still works out at around $180 posted making it cheaper than the original offer that I put forward. I think this is a fairer way of pricing things but some people prefer the other. This way if you live locally and want to pick up the goods you save $$$ and if you dont the cost to post is completely transparent.

Either way they are a great price (I think) and at the current rate of sales they wont be around for too long!

  • I take it these would do the job as a set of rears in a 5.1 setup? (Fronts are B & W M1's, and a PV-1 subby).

  • Absolutely! They would make excellent rears in a 5.1 setup or an awesome stereo pair in a dining / alfresco etc!

  • do they come with the mounts?

my new house is being built and i have a cinema room…

    • Hi Chingy213,

They sure do - they are incorporated into the design to clamp onto the plaster!

  • I dont see the plaster being sufficent for holding? Are they easy to install?

  • Hi Chingy213,

I have installed hundreds (if not thousands) of pairs of in wall and ceiling speakers - the plaster is definately OK to hold these.

As for installation it is as easy as cutting a hole in the plaster (to the size of the included template) connecting the speaker cable and inserting the speaker in the hole and tightening the screws (not too tight) and you are done!
