Thanks OP, been waiting for one for New Zealand in a few days. Wouldn't work on the app, but the website was fine.

    • Strange. Code works in my app.

      • wont work on mel airport in the app as well

    • My app also didn't let me apply the code at first for NZ, but it worked when I came back to try again after a few minutes! Probably had a typo when entering.

  • Last chance to stock up on some tickets with velocity points before they're cut at end of the month!

    • Are the points credited when you buy the tickets or when you actually use them?

      • +1

Usually a day or two after you buy ticket

    • oh no… they don't offer velocity points anymore??

      • nope. ended on last day of jan

        • Fuming

  • Code didn’t work in my app, but there’s an app only deal at the moment. Managed to grab the Eastern Express return for $27 (normally $37), expiry 14/04. Thanks OP.

    • What's app only deal?

      • Eastern Express Summer Saver

After an overwhelmingly successful launch of SkyBus Eastern Express service, SkyBus is offering an exclusive discount to our App users. This Summer we are offering every stop at one low price, just $15 one way per adult.

Travel from Croydon, Ringwood, Blackburn, Box Hill, Doncaster or Watsonia for just $15!

Found on the web page for the Eastern Express route. Not sure if other routes have the Summer Saver deal as well.

        • Dang… Looks like it's Eastern express specific.. Thanks anyway

Code works on the android app, not apple app.
So book with Android or download an emulator to get the extra savings.

  • Excellent heading overseas next month. Cheers op!

SkyBus is much cheaper on klook fyi

    • Is klook reliable/authentic? Haven't tried it yet, but don't want to find out the hard way that it's another ViaGoGo.

      • They have a 12 month expiry. Bit more expensive tho for melb

    • Looks more expensive to me…

Thanks OP. Handy timing with the F1 GP in March :-)

Thanks OP. Need to ride the Skybus in early May. Hopefully the code still works for a few more weeks.

  • So, how does this return fare for a couple compare with an Uber (on say, Saturday morning/Sunday evening)?

    • That's going to depend completely on where you live, but uber will probably be more expensive unless you already live closer than the CBD. Put the airport into Uber now and see what it estimates…

Well, last time I was in Melbourne I paid $35 (using Ola) to get from the airport to my hotel in the city and $29 to return to the airport. Skybus is $19.75 normally or $17.77 with this deal. If you were travelling solo then Skybus is cheaper. If you have more than one person then rideshare will probably be cheaper.
Keep in mind as well that for Melbourne the Skybus will drop you off at Southern Cross station and you then need to connect to a shuttle bus (no charge) or regular public transport to get from Southern Cross to your hotel. The shuttle bus runs every 20 mins but stops at 7:30pm. This often means that Skybus can be quite a bit of "hurry up and wait" before you get where you're going.

Many thanks OP for this - had an alert set up for SkyBus deals so this is ideal for a forthcoming trip. Worked fine on Android app - $31.50 for Melbourne City return.

    • it's more than 10% on app!

      • It's still 10% but the discount stacks with the existing in-app discount, so it's $3.50 off $35 rather than $3.65 off $36.50 on the website…
