      The latter - usually. Best to email shopback and make them put it in writing though. They could remove the ambiguity by a simple change of wording - Purchase of gift cards unless otherwise stated. They've responded quickly and positively to my queries to date.

    Sony 65" X9500 Series TV is at full price of $2495 when they are selling it in-store for under the $2k mark when you negotiate. Be careful of this deal. It may be good for some things, but definitely not a lot of their stock.

        it has to be an advertised price. Haggling with a competitor doesn't count.

        You're right though, you can usually get 20% off or more if you haggle, which you can't do online.

          Depends who you get. I've been offered better prices just by saying I'll wait till boxing Day, but expensive now.

          Some salesmen don't care about commissions and just want to sell it.

        I simply ask "what's the best price you can do?" Same applies at JB's. Obviously you should know what the best recent price is and what you think is a fair price/discount. Give them a chance to match or get close to your price.

        I went in store today and managed to get 13% off already reduced items (30 and 20% reduction off RRP). This was more then I was expecting and was intending on coming home to buy through shopback if no discount was given. All in all I am a happy Ozbargainer Not sure about my wife though….

    Anyone worried about not getting the Cashback for this? I don’t use ShopBack much and read past debacle on a promo… people not getting purchase tracked on a one day promo and on emailing them, they weren’t given the higher % promo Cashback?

      I never have issue. Even when it was not tracked, i submitted the claims and they responded well to my claims. I just purchased a fridge and it got tracked staright away.
