  • For those who missed out on the Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Aorus they still have the Gaming OC version of the 2070 Super for $647 which is still a great price compared to everywhere else I have looked

    • whats the difference between them?

      • The 2080 super on average performs 14% better, although this can vary between different cards and card types.

      • From the Gigabyte website the Gaming OC has a clockspeed 1815MHz vs 1905MHz of the Aorus 2070 Super listed in the original post.

It also seems to have a simpler cooler with no RGB lights and has 2 fewer HDMI ports (but the same number of Displayport ports).

Nevertheless it should perform very similarly and is a bit more compact (appears to be 2.5 slots vs 3 slots wide)

        • Agreed with this that’s why I had to get the Gaming OC and not the Aorus to fit on to Egpu. Recommend the core x chroma too as FTC has the best price I could find for it.

Thanks Op. Got the last 2080 Super.

  • +1

    Very nice.

  • +1

Yes thanks so much to the OP - got the 2080 super, had a 2070 in this variant, and its the best cooler I ever had on a GPU. Very glad to be returning to the silence that cooler offers.

Has anyone had theirs shipped? 3 days after paying no shipment sent… Not looking good.

    • +1

My one was marked as shipped and a tracking number added yesterday with delivery estimate for Monday. I’ve always been quite lucky with FTC delivery times.

      • Didn’t arrive by either Sendle or eBay estimates… in fact quite clearly they created a Sendle job and marked it as sent but didn’t actually send it yet.

The cpu I bought in December was also not actually in stock at the time, but they did get it within 3 days… this is clearly taking longer……

Now I have no problem in waiting, but they really shouldn’t be advertising ‘fast’ delivery if it’s a week+

    • Same here, 3 days and not shipped

    • Ordered mine on the 14th and not shipped yet either.

      • early than you still not shipped

    • thanks everyone, not the only one which is a relief

    • +1

Mine just got marked as shipped + tracking number, I got one of the last cards.

      • Mine was also just marked as shipped today with tracking.

      • I got a tracking number, but it doesnt say which carrier - maybe its a harry potter owl

        • It’s probably sendle, try track it there

        • Mine is Auspost, still not expecting it to make the eta date as they haven't received it yet only shipping information.

          • @wycs: Mines the same. A tracking number for 2 days now but still no item actually on the move

            • @LikezDaBargainz: Same! My tracking was added Monday however no update except "dropping off"

              • @Snacky: This all reeks of they dont have it and are buying time to me…

                • @LikezDaBargainz: I hope it's sendle just taking ages to process it, but knowing the store's recent track record when there's been a lot of demand, I doubt it's the case.

That being said, it hasn't passed the expected delivery time yet so I'm still hopeful.

                  • @chorong: Mine is coming by Auspost since it looks like i'm in an area Sendle classifies as a regional surcharge suburb and they have not received it yet either.

They are definitely waiting on stock and buying as much time as possible.

                  • @chorong: It's actually been a week now since placing the order… typically I'd be registering a non recieved item request about now…. I contacted them on the weekend and nobody has replied. Impending negative feedback.

        • yea i got tracking, but hasnt been scaned by auspost yet,so that means another week :(

          • +1

@tintsurfer: I messages them this morning and got a reply stating the next courier pickup is Thursday (tomorrow)

@Snacky: Wtf. Dont mark items sent on monday if they aren't shipping till thursday…(over a week after order) this seller clearly stocks none of it and is getting from the supplier post orders coming in. First and last time for me.

              • @LikezDaBargainz: seems like I wont be getting it in time for the long weekend

                • @callmekev: Definitely won't make it from NSW to VIC by the long weekend, but there's a chance that NSW to NSW might make it.

I was looking forward to moving from 1440p -> 4k gaming too :/

                  • @chorong: My ones start point is the shop in qld, at least that’s what’s listed on the Sendle job.

                    • +1

@Pobman: Mine is different it seems, it has Gardens Dr, Willawong QLD instead of Sunnybank.

EDIT: Just exported the orders off Sendle to see - my label number is a couriersplease tracking number and hasn't been scanned yet.

                      • @chorong: Actually yes the location you gave is right, I’d just looked briefly on the map and assumed it was the shop.. buts it’s not Sunnybank.

                      • @chorong: My order is from Gardens Dr, Willawong QLD as well.

Did you use your sendle tracking on couriers please?

                        • +1

@Snacky: If you sign up for an account using the same email that the shop would have put on the tracking (assume it's the one you have for ebay), you can export orders as a CSV. In that CSV there is something called "Label Number", which looks to be the tracking number. Through a bit of searching, seems like the first few characters correspond to a couriersplease tracking number for mine.

                          • @chorong: I searched mine up on parcelsapp and I got "shipping label created " 11hrs ago

                        • @Snacky: My ones are showing up in my Sendle account, same email as my paypal/ebay. Not sure about exporting orders etc… its been awaiting parcel drop off since Friday 17th…

                          • @Pobman: So to clarify all this just rung Couriers please they are the ones who deliver for Sendle

Here is chorong's guide to get your CouriersPlease tracking number:
If you sign up for an account using the same email that the shop would have put on the tracking (assume it's the one you have for ebay), you can export orders as a CSV. In that CSV there is something called "Label Number", which looks to be the tracking number.

                            Thank you chorong :)

                            • @Snacky: Yes but sign up for an account with who? I already have accounts with Couriers Please and FTC on the same email and don't see anything in either of them.

                              • @Pobman: OK got it… in my existing Sendle account.

                                • @Pobman: If you go to https://app.sendle.com/dashboard/received_orders
Then look below the tracking numbers on the right hand side, there will be something called "Export orders (.csv)"
Click on that, it'll download a CSV you can open in Excel or any text editor.
Then look for the label number, that should be the actual tracking number of your parcel. Most of the time, the label number = tracking number

                                  • @chorong: Yep all good… same as in Sendle… parcel not even scanned in yet.

        • +1

I see no movement on Sendle. Parcel still awaiting drop-off. Any1 see any progress?

          • @bryans: Still nothing for me - guess they're slipping again (lol)

            • @chorong: Mine still says, "Awaiting the parcel at the drop off location." with Sendle since it was marked that way on the 20th. Expected delivery date was Friday 24th - Tuesday 28th. Not looking good at all.

  • Sounds like they are trying to boost their footprint with distributors? 'Sell' on ebay 200+ Ryzen 3900x's and 2080Supers get a distributor to give them best price and they get a good cut.

    • Having operated online for 7 years I can say this is a recipe for bad reviews and business.

Just to help alleviate some anxious concerns, below is the journey i've gone through so far.

The GPU is being sent to Melbourne CBD to my work place which is the head office.

    12:05pm 15th Jan - Ordered RTX 2080 Super
3:37pm 20th Jan - Order updated to "sent" along with tracking number (Sendle)
11:05am 22nd Jan - Customer enquiry lodged with FTC Computers on Ebay
4:00pm 22nd Jan - FTC Computers replied with "We'll look into it comment"
10:35am 23nd Jan - EBay order updated for tracking number with Couriers Please
10:31am 24th Jan - Attempted delivery (driver claimed incorrect address but its a huge corporate building near Parliament Station)

Attempted re-delivery will most likely be Tuesday with clear instructions to go to reception first (SMH).

this feels very reminiscent of drop-shipping (Store doesnt actually hold any stock, instead gets another distributer to fulfill the order and send to customer).

anyway, in future i dont think i'll purchase off FTC Computers again

    • Thanks for sharing your experience.

I'll probably wait till after Australia Day to contact them to check where the package is at. Luckily the 2080Super is just replacing my RX480 so I can still use my computer while I wait.

    • lucky you. My order is 11am on 15th. But tracking
shows still waiting for drop off.

      • Is this for your Sendle tracking number ? or Couriers please ?

For context my Sendle is still showing "Waiting for drop off" but my couriers please has the above details.

        • Sendle. Still no movement today.

    • Would be interested to hear which gpus people are seeing actual movement, I ordered on the 14th for the 2070 super aorus and have yet to have any movement.

      • my guess is they are still waiting for stock, i received this yesterday

        ftc_computers:

        Hi, there

        Thanks for your inquiry.

We were just waiting for the graphic card to arrive. Your order will be on the way today and tracking will be updated.

        • Yeah I got this message in a reply to me today:

          Dear customer

          Thanks for your order.

Due to huge amount of orders we have received there is some minor delay.

It is going out to you by TNT express

Thank you very much for your understanding.

Even though they marked it as posted on the 20th with an auspost tracking.

          • @wycs: not holding my breathe for this one

New message from: ftc_computers (4,272Red Star)
They confirmed sent, waiting for tracking.

            • @david6509: My tracking number just changed to TNT express and using that number on tnt tracking shows it having been picked up and on the way.

For anyone who's worried - mine finally arrived today by startrack as a dropship (2080 super trio msi). It took them 1.5 weeks to get it out the door. One day to arrive from actual shipment.

For anyone who ordered - i hope you have a massive case. I have just installed - my case is big and it just fits, but it looks great.
      https://tinyurl.com/sb5z9of

      Cheers

      • I ordered the 2080Super too. Mine still says, "Awaiting the parcel at the drop off location." with Sendle since it was marked that way on the 20th. Expected delivery date was Friday 24th - Tuesday 28th. Not looking good at all.

    • Update with Order.

They've returned my card to the original sender claiming incorrect address. Complete Laziness by the courier.

Raised a "did not receive" with both Paypal and Ebay as I cant be bothered dealing with FTC Computers anymore.

Hope the rest of you get your cards

      • If they don't respond to my messages, I reckon I'll go through the same route. I don't really mind if it takes them a month to send it to me (I don't really have any urgency in getting it), it's just getting really annoying that it's been marked as "sent" when they're only slowly dripping out stock now.

  • Just got a message from them that the order will be delayed because they got so many orders … No ETA. Really shouldn't be marking things as sent when even a week later not in stock.

  • Seems like on the other thread - their ebay account is on hold: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/8272995/redir

I'd assume it's due to the amount of recent negative feedback they've been getting

Mine arrived today (2070 super auros) here is my timeline:

    Paid on 14th:

Marked as sent on 20th with an auspost tracking number:

24th, Auspost tracking still showing it hasn't been picked up. Sent ebay message asking what's happening was told there was delays and it will be shipped today via tnt express. Later that day tracking number in ebay changed to tnt express number.

TNT tracking showed it starting being collected in Melbourne on the night of 24th and being weekend/australia day did not move till it was onboard with driver and delivered this morning (28th).

Doesn't appear like it was drop shipped (assuming HHJC Trading PTY LTD is FTC Computers as that's what is on the invoice), the date/time on the invoice is 24th 4pm.

    • Thanks for update. I ordered same model on 15th, so can't be too far behind. How was the packaging?

      • Packaging was just the gpu box inside a larger box with nothing else, not great but mine was perfect. Just got it up and running and seems all good. Hope they come through for everyone else.

    • +1

I got two invoices for my two items just right now, so hopefully that's a sign they're finally about to ship them. I expected this to be a shit show, so I'm not very frustrated. Just eager. Haha.

      • Where about did you get your invoices? eBay, email?

        • I just got an email directly from them with an invoice however as above mine was delivered today.

        • Email.

      • Got the same… so invoice + a Sendle and a Couriers Please tracking number so far… cant help but think that's not great value for money yet.

Fingers crossed on an actual product.

        • Same here, the invoice went to spam though (lol)

        • Yes just found the invoice in my spam folder. No update on delivery status in Sendle

          • @bryans: i just got a refund from them, not too happy aboutall the stuff around
            had already sold my GPU

            • @tintsurfer: Did you ask for the refund or did they just cancel your order?

              • +1

@chorong: no,i just sent another email asking when id be getting it and 10 mins later i got a refund

                • @tintsurfer: I had my GPU and CPU in two separate orders. Sent an email about the GPU, that got cancelled. CPU is still up though. I wonder if they are just cancelling anyone who bothers them.

                • +1

@tintsurfer: Thanks - Opened a case and got my money back even though I specified I wanted the card. Guess I'll wait for another deal to leave my money in limbo, or just wait for the Turing cards to come out at the end of the year.

                  • @chorong: Same happened to me.

                    • @nakata: my refund was just cancelled from paypal, this ftc company are a bunch of d@@@heads

                      • @tintsurfer: The pending payment in your paypal was rejected? What do you have to do now to get your money?

                        • @videoman: Mine got rejected as well

                          • @chorong: If they cancel the refund what are the next steps? Hoping the eBay money back guarantee applies

                            • @JacobHarvey: Raised PayPal case, and if that fails I’m going to use my amex

                        • @videoman: i informed ebay in my open requests and now waiting to hear back from them

        • Message on their website:
          Dear customer

Due to unforeseen issue with eBay we are currently having trouble with eBay orders.
If you have not received your orders from eBay, we will have your orders refunded ASAP.
If you have already opened an case on eBay, the refund is being processed.
We are extremely sorry about the current situation.
We can be contacted through below email:

          [email protected]

One of our staff will attend your concern ASAP.

          Thank you very much.

          • @bryans: Thanks - I'll email them with my PayPal dispute and ask them to refund through that. Hopefully they get around to doing it and not put in some fluff bs in there.

refunded, this seller should be banned on this site

  • Received a GIGABYTE RTX 2070 SUPER GeForce AORUS today, posted yesterday which was 3 weeks after ordering. I had originally ordered one of the slightly smaller Gigabyte 2070 Super models but was offered this as an upgrade as they couldn't source the others from the supplier. Thankfully I have a full tower case so size isn't really of importance.

While the outcome was OK the process to get here was poor, and only happened after I communicated with the shop directly. Any and all messages via eBay for the last 2 weeks, including refund requests, were either ignored or not seen. Once in communication with the shop itself everything was resolved within 24 hours.

    • o.o they shipped you a card?! Did you raise a case on eBay as well or just hassle them enough for them to actually ship it out?

      • I had raised an eBay none delivery request, though they ignored that. The message I got back from them direct was that they couldn't access everything on eBay, no idea how true that is, but they themselves offered the upgrade and fast shipping. The first email I sent them they just gave a stock reply of put in a refund request on eBay, which I had already done, I replied that I had already done this and gave them my eBay order details over the email. That was when they offered the Aorus instead, which I accepted. I contacted them about 16:30 on Tuesday, everything was agreed by 17:00 same day and it was shipped out the following day and tracking number sent to me by email. They also updated the tracking number on eBay, so clearly had some access, from the old Sendle to StarTrack.

The staff on email were very efficient, friendly, and quite apologetic. I do wonder exactly what has really transpired over the last few weeks.

        • Ah alright, I'll reach out to them to see if they can provide the original purchase

          • @chorong: I emailed them today and got a response suprisingly. They said they are shipping it out today and gave me a new tracking no. The courier is go express/logistics. Im based in Sydney.

          • +1

@chorong: i got a refund from ebay yesterday

            • @tintsurfer: Ah cool.

Mine's with Paypal to deal with now. I'll probably get my refund in a week.

  • Ok finally after 25 days I received my Aorus RTX 2070S package. I am building a new PC and only willing to buy one item off them as the price was too good to pass. Unlikely to ever purchase from them online again.

Pics of the package I received and condition:
