These are great. Have been using one for camping many years.

    • +2

how are they compared to the higher priced ones in BCF, anaconda?

      • I would like to know this also

      • +1

Can't comment as I've only had one of these. The frame and padding has lasted years with just the fabric that has faded.

Also here's something for the kids

    • +1

For the money might as well get them an adult version and let them grow into it

      • That’s true

Moon Chair.. What a time to be alive.

  • +9

An entire chair made out of the moon. What a bargain.

    • +2

As a person who eats mooncake, I confirm this comment is 100% correct.

  • +6

Moon chair - clear section at the back?

    • +2

I thought the back was the dark side of the moon chair.

      • +5

Apparently you can get bleaching for that.

  • +2

I've been getting into conspiracy theories lately and I think this chair was faked.

One small sit for man, one giant leap for mankind.

      • +5

        …one giant sleep for mankind

        FTFY

  • Anyone know are they good to leave outside under cover?

  • Does anyone know the weight limit on these?

    • +1

Looking at BCFs wanderer moonchair, they have similar dimensions and it was rated at 150kg, im guessing this one is the same or less

      • Thanks for that :)

      • I'd best not get it for the Mrs then.

    • I got a similar one from Bunnings a few years back, only rated 120kg afaik.

So after a buffet no go?

  • +1

valentine's day gift sorted, will report back how stable it is.

    • +17

Should be fine mate, blow up dolls don't weigh that much ;)

      • +2

then your not doing it right.

    • +3

Moon chair is the ultimate expression of love

    • +3

I wonder if it's moisture proof?

    • +2

Just put a rug underneath to prevent movement and doubles to reduce the clean ip.

Your interior decorator will hate you.

  • This will not be good for mooning. Covers all the exciting farts. I mean parts:)

  • Not to sound ridiculous, but I tried even $100 deluxe moon chairs at anaconda and I found a glaring flaw - the bar going across the front section is not padded nearly enough. You need to lift your legs up or something to get weight off that bar off your thighs.

Does anyone know a slightly different design moon chair, or similar, that doesn't have this issue?

    • can't you use pool noodle for padding ?

      • Nah not really, cos the fabric of the seat is directly attached.

Basically, in the 'standard chair', the weight of your thighs is on the fabric. This is normally taught, and unpadded, but it's still fabric.

In these moon chairs, the weight is on fabric with whatever few mm of padding they have, but on a cross-beam. It needs like 2cm of super plush padding at least, but no one does this.

  • I picked up this Slimline Moon Chair from Anaconda for $60 a month ago. I rate it highly. it has surprisingly good lower back support - much better than Anaconda's full size moon chair

  • Thanks OP 🙏

  • Are these for kids as curious why it's listed under toys/kids

  • 100% recommend. My gf and Soccer team mates gfs all own them and bring them along to games in the winter. Perfect for wrapping a blanket around and creating a warm cocoon, protected from the wind.

    • +1

That's because they would all prefer to be at home sleeping in in their warm beds and not dragged to a soccer match

      • +3

Nobody was dragged… Our partners like to support our team, as we do theirs when they play on Sunday… I suggest you try to find a partner that supports you 👍🏻

        • So the chairs are a time share thing, they use them on Saturdays and you guys use them on Sundays.

  • Thanks! Ordered four with $9 postage to regional WA.

  • +2

Just picked up. Says 100kg weight limit.

    • +1

Hopefully has a 10% leeway for the big boys
