  • I have a C470IP, what advantages does the C610IP have?

    • Seems only 4 things:

      1. Larger colour TFT display
      2. HD Voice
      3. Integrated Answering Machine (C610AIP model only)
      4. Facebook & Twitter integration

      Nothing big except HD Voice

  • What's the advantage against an Android + Csipsimple or Nokia native sip,

    Function, or price?

    • I used Penneytel on an iPhone over wifi for a while and it is not terribly reliable. Often you will call and the person on the other end can't hear you but you can hear them and if you are too far away from the router (wifi signal lowish) which is what happens in some rooms of my house you get terrible quality. I bought a C470IP and quality and range is much better. I got at Harvey Norman (not all stroes stock them) for $135 after telling them I could get it cheaper from UK including shipping.

  • Yep - HD Voice and the larger screen are the main differences. It isn't worth updating an existing setup to C610 unless you want the answering machine, but for people after the latest at the cheapest - we've got it. The C470IP is being phased out so if you want one, you better get one soon.

  • It looks like these handsets are coming in sooner than we thought. We're looking at the first half of September now!

We're offering a $50 Maxotel VoIP Credit for any pre-orders on Triple/Triple+ packs.

Email [email protected] with your order number and maxotel account to claim the $50 credit. Note that existing triple pack pre-orders are eligible as well. Please claim your credit by September 30.

I must re-iterate that we've locked in special pre-order pricing with our supplier. The pricing on these units will rise after stock comes in.
