    I've just been talking to a neuroscientist friend of mine.

    There is now large bodies of evidence showing that sugar is as destructive to the brain as ethanol.

    Many neuroscientists now believe that the "mental health crisis" is caused directly by diet. According to them, sugar and processed grains are causing for wide scale clinical depression, chronic pain conditions and severe psyciatric conditions including psychosis.

    Some psychiatrist's were considered pariahs in their field a few years ago for claiming this connection. Not so much anymore.

      Agree somewhat, especially those who claim to be "depressed".

      Just from my own experience, I've seen much improvement in others when they minimize all processed foods, exercise daily, and getting some sunshine.
