    Do people freeze these?
Put in the fridge the night before you want the meal?

    • +3

no just straight into the microwave, so if there is a sauce pack inside the meal, take that out because it might explode. if not just poke a couple of holes with a fork in the pack. to vent out some of the extremely racist gases from the company. then pop it straight into the bin.

    • +1

Yes u can freeze and just heat in microwave. No problem

  • +2

    Lacist company don't buy.

    • +2

I'm more of a satin guy. But lace is cool too.

    • Lol be careful. If you run a business you’re about to go bankrupt for that comment.

  • +2

Even if the deal is worth however the racism and the rudeness is not a laughing matter.

  • -1

    Neg for racism

  • +3

    Racist idiots

  • +2

    Can't upvote in good faith

  • +3

    Youfoodz is no longer good

  • +2

Social justice warriors are the cancer of today's world.

    • +4

….i would have said cancer is

      • Por que no los dos? Haha

  • +7

Google? Apple? Microsoft? They’re complicit with the ‘Great Firewall of China’ on behalf of the Chinese government. The Chinese government is running genocidal concentration camps for Uighurs. That’s quite racist.

    • But they’re not white people, so that genocide can’t be racist. Drunken jokes by a partner though….that is far more harmful than genocide clearly.

  • +4

Portions are too small.. not worth my money

  • +1

Neg for bad handling of their racism

    • +3

You just negged the person who posted the deal? You didn't neg the company?

      • +3

No option to neg company hence closest thing. Negging the marketing of it here

      • Exactly.

  • +3

Would have been all over this last year, but I wouldn't support this company even for $1 a meal now.

    • +4

      What about 99c?

      • Yes, I'd address it to OzHarvest. Double win, great organisation, and I'd be happy to know I'd cost YF money.

  • +2

    ITT - Brigading.

  • +2

It's definitely a you get what you pay for kind of deal.

  • +5

I don't understand why people are so angry over it. Yes the guy & his girlfriend are racist assholes. But so are hundreds of other people- including asians. Does it mean you stop buying products/services from all companies whose owners are racists? technically, not buying their products will have an effect on people who are employed there. just ignore the pigs & move on.. OR Am I missing something here!?

    • I think the issue is that you have increased public scrutiny as owners/ actors/ politicians.
The video was removed quickly once they realised, but did they ended up apologisingly swiftly and publicly?

      • I seriously doubt many if any people here boycotting the business would have the reaction “oh he apologised for his wife, that’s ok then”. So making a statement would likely give it more publicity and further harm the business, costing jobs. I can see it being a hard decision. But I don’t think a lack of a statement about it necessarily means that their attitude is “yeah, we hate Asian people, so what??”

    • +1

This is a different topic though. We knows some asians can be racist - that's not the point.
If you found the CEO of a brand, whatever racial background that was (this includes Asian), then feel free to boycott their company.
The reason why it doesn't affect you so much, is because you haven't lived in Asia for years and have been made to feel inferior as a minority yet, where people mock your accent, your facial features and everything else degrading, then have the nerve to post it ON SOCIAL MEDIA thinking it's OK because you won't receive any consequences because you can get away with it. But if that happen to you, it would suck - but i would not tell you to get over it and move on. I would feel for you and be just as outraged, but thankfully i know not every single person out there is a silly nasty bimbohead (Only a few people).

I agree though about it having an effect on people employed there……. which is why this this neg isn't easy.

  • +4

Cant believe people still buy from them

    • -1

      It's called supply and demand.

  • +2

    No love from me.

  • +2

Food is fine, great for those trying to lose or maintain their weight. Helps to prepare your weekly food intake, Deal is good value considering you only need to reheat. It's disappointing to see that they have been caught out for being racist but surely that has nothing to do with the deal. You could easily post those concerns in the forum and not make stupid accusations that food would be tampered with.

  • +7

    I'm Asian and I'm conflicted.
    On one hand, racism.
On the other hand I'm stingy af and $5 is the best price I've seen it.
    But racism.
    But $5 lunches.
    What to do.

    • +5

eat your $5 lunch while pondering the answer.

  • +3

That coupon code name is rubbing salt in the wounds…

    Are they really that stupid?

  • +1

    Don't support racists

  • +2

Food quality has dropped drastically. Portion size, less. Company is debt ridden. Underpays staff and also got to know they have not paid some staffing agencies and are blacklisted. I wouldn’t trust a cent buying from these guys.

  • +4

At $5 a meal this is a good price for a lot of people, and convenient.

Shit happens, people get caught. They apologise. Move on people.

At some point the mods should be stepping in here and controlling the neg bandwagon. It’s a bargain site, not a Youfoodz hate site.

    • +1

Agree just get the $5 bargain and tell the racist bogan white maggot of a slutt to fork up… I apologise if I hurt anyone with that comment but yea since I apologised like you said, just move on and not neg me 😂

      • +2

I accept your apology. I’m inclusive and forgiving.

        • +1

Those are traits that seem lost on society today

  • +4

No one has brought up, this type of consumerism is incredibly bad for the environment. Noone needs a youfoodz plastic microwave box. It's not healthy for you.

It's a retarded concept aimed at people who are too lazy to cook for themselves. Save the Environment and shop at your local take away. You get to put money in the pockets of people who deserve it (unlike the racist people who own this operation) and help the planet.

    • Yes yes the local takeaway shops who put your food into plastic containers. That’s really helping the environment.

      • +2

You can consume the food at the shop.

Also there are environmental costs involved in the transport of the youfoodz boxes which doesn't help either.

        • Defeats the purpose of your local take away. Your words not mine.

        • +1

So the use case is for people who don’t have time to cook or visit a restaurant for their meals, and you suggest they do the opposite. I guess your point is nobody should lead a busy lifestyle or else they’re immoral?

  • Taste like crap after a day ended up throwing out all the food

  • +3

Haterz gonna hate, playz gonna play!

  • +6

Yea, shit food shit portion, and shit ceo

  • +5

All the people who go on about racism and support other places.
How do you know those places aren't racist? Most people just keep it shut in public now and their true self is at home

    • +3

We don't know other places aren't racist, but we know this company is run by and owned by a CEO that has a gf who not only is racist, but also posts that stuff on social media. At best she lacks self awareness to realise she's racist. At worst, she has the audacity to post that stuff to her account because she thinks it's funny. Either way, I personally won't support a company that's associated with a person like her. I know many who feel the same.

      • +2

She’s not intelligent to post that stuff. That’s the real fact we do know for certain. Her actual values and beliefs about Asian people we truly don’t know for sure. So it’s mainly actually punishing a lack of intelligence in the partner of 1 person. But the people suggesting that the cooks would sabotage food for people with Asian names, when statistically it’s reasonably probable that some of them are Asian themselves, and the process wouldn’t allow for it anyway, is also demonstrating a lack of intelligence.

  • +1

I stopped buying from them once I started noticing that some of the meals tasted different. I came here early 2019 and saw that people pointed out that the ingredients had changed in quite a few of the meals and they were no longer as healthy. I thought I was either just imagining it up until that point or I was getting tired of the lack of variety and needed a change.

I don't mind the small portion sizes that many seem to complain about. I simply ate two of the meals. I did care that the taste had changed though and many of my favourite meals such as the spaghetti bolognese had now become fairly unpalatable.

I'm glad I stopped buying from this company though since it seems their CEO and owner is probably a racist. I won't support a company run by such a person.

  • +2

I want it to be known that I have no problem with the comments by the founder of this company nor the comments made by his girlfriend.

    • +2

      cool story bro

  • +1

better off with frozen meals at half price special. not sure what the hype is about. taste and portion size fairly mediocre

    • There are some health Benefits to fresh versus frozen food. This is why they are never on par price wise.

      • +1

        What health benefits?

        I call BS

  • +1

    Great deal OP, thanks.

As good as this deal is value-wise, the best value deal I've seen for Yoofoodz was this one.

  • +3

Food quality has gone down the sink. They are not paying super eg. https://www.businessinsider.com.au/meal-prep-company-youfood…
    Discounts are getting bigger.

All sounds like a company in financial trouble, pay $40 and get a letter from an insolvency firm listing you as an unsecured creditor for your trouble.

    • -1

Pay with a credit card and get a refund. Are you going to whinge about people using plastic credit cards as well?

If you don't like Youfoodz there is no need to constantly neg and complain.

      • Look this discussion is about as logical as the HK riots, it’s not about whinging or common sense, it’s all about the emotions and the feels of it. You are either for or against this company, and there are more then enough reasons to neg them.

        • +4

Im neither for or against them. Im on this website searching for a BARGAIN.

          • @Repstar: Spend $40 and get a insolvency letter and potentially spend 2 hours with bank getting chargeback sorted. Don’t you have any concept of time value of money what are you on welfare?

            • +1

              @xinyi: Go away troll.

            • +2

              @xinyi:

Don’t you have any concept of time value

Says the person that’s posted 10 comments of mindless dribble in the post.

  • +2

I love shouting racial epithets with a mouth full of YouFoodz

      • +2

People fighting for freedom from an oppressive government that commits genocide and removes freedoms from their people. Very illogical. It’s much more logical to shut down a business full of people trying to live their lives happily because someone’s partner made an offensive joke you don’t like…

      • +1

        HK > China.

  • Just here to add the token "$20 shipping to Perth ruins it" post.

    But seriously, it's over priced.

  • +1

Why are non-clean meals more expensive than clean meals?

  • +15

Am Asian. Don't care about their racist comments; not a big deal to me and doesn't hurt me. Heaps of open and closeted racists out there. I would constantly be butt hurt if I gave a damn about what randoms think. Likewise I make fun of bogans as well, so I'm racist too. We're all a little bit racist (it's a song - highly recommend you YouTube it).

But what I do care are the Muslims locked in concentration camps and organ harvesting of prisoners. People are actually being harmed, like properly harmed, totally not on the same scale as racist words been thrown around.

Judging by the comments in this thread though, looks like words hurt more than sticks and stones to a lot of people.

    • +4

Amen. People need a bit of perspective here. Upvoting deals where companies are linked to actual horrific acts, and downvoting based on something dumb like this. Not really balanced.

I also make jokes with my very diverse set of friends from various backgrounds where we say stuff that others could overhear and think was racist, but we love each other and are just having a laugh. One darker skinned friend makes light of how whites people always commit school shootings, and get sunburns lol. We laugh together. I imagine these days if I ran a business someone would film us at a pub having a joke and crop it and 100 ppl would be unemployed.
Not saying this is exactly the same thing, we don’t even really know anything about these people or how racist they actually are etc, but it’s a bit concerning that the default reaction is shutting down the business just to be safe. Lol

    • -1

      tu quoque

    • +2

Exactly this. Virtue signalling is the latest fad. Look at me, i'm super 'good', they are super 'bad', look look. Good tribe, bad tribe. Halo over my forehead, you must respect me. Yawn. Anyone who has traveled through asia (love it) and actually gets out n about a little knows how intolerant and rude some can be (just like here and most places), and especially how inconsiderate and rude some chinese tourists can be (oh i have a few stories!). BUT, people confuse prejudice with racism waaaay too easily, as if one is always the other, it's a terribly dumb alarmist habit, but that is our society today. If we held everyone to the same standard, definition, and punishment, my asian mates would be run out of town as racists (along with most good, not thin-skinned funny people), heck my aussie born asian partner would. But at least we'd all be in good company! Kudos to you Omitsukasa

    • -3

A Muslim baby Xinjiang is expected to have a higher life expectancy and better education outcomes than Australian aboriginals who live in squalid third world conditions despite being in a wealthy country. You gonna vote for a Australian company that supports their plight?

      • +2

Source? Or is it made up propoganda like so much other stuff from the ccp?

      • +1

Why are you living in Australia if you hate it and love China so much?

Nothing like sino-parasitism. Parrot the freedoms of your country while safely hidden in another.

What a life, did the CCP pay you for your time or do you just enjoy bathing in the blood of Hong Kong protestors and Uighurs?

  • +10

sheesh, asians know how to hold a grudge. guess that's why they made a movie about it..

    • +5

I’d place money on the fact that 95% of the people here holding a grudge are white. The comments we’ve seen where people identify themselves as Asian have generally not been negs.
The outrage culture seems particularly strong among white people, especially on behalf of other groups, who often themselves are not actually outraged

      • +2

Can confirm. I'm Asian and not even offended. Maybe we're just desensitised to thosr kinds of behaviour.

        • -2

Honestly you sound like a chan/weeb that has been brainwashed by western mass media to think that white privilege is OK

          • +1

            @xinyi: Go away shi-shing

          • @xinyi: I'm in my mid 30s and not even close to can/weeb or whatever that is.

lol white privilege. Asians can be racists too. Get off your PC high horse.

            • +2

@plasmoske: No sadly he seems to actually be a Pro-china spammer. Most likely brain washed by the CCP

      • +1

Growing up with racism makes you desensitised to it, but honestly I do appreciate white people being enraged on our behalf.

    • +1

Im asian and while i wouldnt say i have a grudge, buying from these guys would leave a sour taste for me.

  • +3

No thanks. I don’t buy from racists.

  • +4

    Bloody racist f***s.

  • +3

    I don't support racists.

  • Just ordered some. Thanks OP.

    • -3

No doubt it'll come in a shitty plastic container with half the contents missing. Happy days for you.

      • +2

A shitty plastic container that was made in China.

  • +2

    Screw these guys.

  • +3

Viets do not approve or this bargain

    • -1

      I'm Vietnamese. Deal is good.
