I think their deals are good only for businesses who want to earn some money for their hard times in which they can't generate much revenue like Christmas close down. I've bought 8 vouchers to go for Ice Skating at Olympic Ice Skating in Oakleigh last year through scoopon which was posted in OZbargain. The voucher said it should be used before 31st Dec last year. I called the place to make a booking on, as I remember 20th of Dec. They said there's no need to book and we can come at any time before 31st Dec. Then I went to the place in Oakleigh just 2 days later with my friends and their families. You know what, the place had closed and the notice on door said they are reopening after the first week in new year. All 8 vouchers that I bought went to the rubbish bin. The guy who answered the phone didn't mention that they are closing in two days. That was the last time I bought some thing from scoopon.

I have plans to go to Melbourne and this deal would be just awesome only if not this statement from thir T&C :

so, if I want to get it I need to travel to Melbourne to collect my vouchers.
I think it is lame as they loose people living interstate and interested in this offer.

So basically you get roughly 6 months to use this, minus one month.
The block out period is probably when you're most likely to use the voucher, but at least you could go right before Christmas I guess..
