Maybe they are ready to release the xm4 and want to get rid of stock?

    • WF or WM XM4?

  • is the xm3 better than airpods pro? I am still deciding which one to get, comfortability is my no.1 factor

These are great with firmware 2.1.0, before this they were terrible for calls. Now good for calls and best audio in earbuds in most expert reviews.

      Yes, and these look cooler.

Comfort is often underrated and difference in sound quality overrrated especially over a bluetooth connection. I am a previous Bose QC35 and then Bose 700 user and someone who is very sensitive to comfort and I can tell you for a fact that Airpods Pro by far are the most comfortable pair of headsets I have ever used. Even though they are in ear, the pressure release means that there is absolute no pressure in the ears, either due to air or due to noise cancellation. The sound is good enough and the noise cancellation is good enough too. If you are an Apple user, it is a no brainer. If you are on Android though, I would also look at Sony's. Bear in mind though that the Sony's are nowhere near as good for calls. I havent used them on the latest firmware but I wonder how much difference can the firmware alone can make.

They also happen to be the worst sounding in their price range.

      • the latest firmware update nerfs the ANC on the Airpods Pro. And you can't opt out of firmware updates. They are downloaded and installed automatically.

I've been saying how Apple's earbud design without the silicone tips is not as comfortable or as good at sealing out noise and doesn't stay in your ears as good as IEMs with ear gels. Everyone tells me that's wrong. Ear gels are bad, Apple's design is the better design. But when Apple decides to use ear gels, their tune changes. Suddenly ear gels are good.

        • Lol kind of expected right ;)

        • I am sorry but I have not heard anyone saying that the gel design is bad. What I have heard though it that how in-ear gel (or silicone) design causes pressure sensation in your ears because of the air trapped inside. Apple had mitigated this in the Airpods Pro by having pressure release built in. To counter increase in noise, Airpods cancels noise both from the outside and from inside. Besides that the actual design of the silicone tips is not the same as everyone - one they click into place rather than having to literally screw them in, second they have a built in mesh to take care of the ear wax which is god send to me. I also owned the original airpods and they were not for me. Even though comfortable, they would not stay in my ears and open design would mean I would have to listen to them at higher volumes to subside the outside noise. I was never a fan but the ease of connectivity and intelligent features aka picking up the phone normally and then opening airpods and putting one in my ear would seamlessly transfer the call to the airpods just worked every time in a uniquely Apple way.

Also I wonder if you own the Airpods or have used them at all? The noise cancellation is effected but the upshot also is that the sound quality is also improved. You never mentioned that. Is there a motive? When I say effected, i dont mean to say it doesnt work at all, I mean may be 5-10% worse but then again, Airpods Pro werent the best at noise cancellation anyway. I would buy them over any other competing truly wireless headset though. A 5% increase in volume will take care of the slightly inferior noise cancellation but the upshot is that they are light, the case is the smallest and they are tremendously comfortable and they work brilliantly with all my Apple devices with me doing nothing and if I have a problem with them I can always go to an Apple store and they will replace it for me.

          • @dealsucker: It's not about me but Apple fans preference for no-ear-gel design being more comfortable and their hate for tips being inserted inside your ear. Whenever Apple adopts something other people are doing, that's when the fans change their tune. Big phones were derided as a stupid idea until Apple made big phones. Same with so many of iOS catch up features which they said was unnecessary, now they find it convenient.

            • @lostn: They have put their money where their mouth is by buying the original airpods. Those who did not like the originals, have gone ahead and bought the pros. Different blokes different strokes.

      • I have to say the new firmware is a big improvement for call quality. Previously I found them unusable whereas yesterday I was able to have an outdoor conversation. Still not great but now usable which is a giant leap forward.

  • Just purchased one of the Samsung ru7100's from one of the recent eBay deals, current speakers plug in through headphone jack which the ru7100 doesn't have.

    Can anyone recommend this soundbar?

    • Arc

      • Snorkel

    • I have it working through arc with ru7100. Soundbar lacks bass and gets distorted tho

  • I thought it said $143 for the sony :(

Even I couldn't get them that cheap; mine were $175

  • Has anyone claimed TRS with this seller?

    • I messaged them. They do provide a tax invoice.

  • ATS1080B price is awesome!

  • Been using Yamaha ATS1080B for a year now - uses HDMI ARC and it produces amazing sound… also has built in woofer…. +1

    • Ignore me, i found it in the guide here:

      ————EDIT:
Is the analog in on this soundbar a simple 3.5mm jack? And does it have automatic wake up via analog?

I want to use this for my PC.

      PC -> TV via HDMI
PC -> Soundbar via 3.5mm jack

(HDMI Arc wont work with PC -> Soundbar -> TV)

      thanks!

  • $158.50 delivered to Perth for the soundbar.

    Wow so cheap!

    Few caveats to the Sony.

Not waterproof, great sound and more bassy.

I got a Cambridge Audio Melomania which was a bit cheaper with smaller carry case, longer battery life and IPS5 rating which is perfect for gym.

Also because Sony is heavier, running can be more difficult with them. I returned the Sony. If only it was waterproof!

  • Anybody had any luck with click and collect on the sound bar?
Only seems to be offering me postage
