NordVPN needs to step out with its servers and services.

No servers to access Netflix at Turkey or Argentina or India, so it means you cannot get a cheaper access to Netflix.

It does not support Android box etc..

All these whilst many other VPN services support them 😝

Also nordvpn no longer support Netflix streaming via openvpn routers. No eta to resolve at this stage.
Smart DNS doesn’t work with smart tvs either.

Again, just a reminder that I don't trust this VPN.

Thanks. That video is worth a watch. I had no clue that the issue went on for almost 6 months without being reported. The leaked encryption key could’ve been used to gain access to other systems. I’ve used Nord in the past and while I would like to give them another shot this whole situation has turned me away from them.

i think it's worth a punt at 90% cashback. But you have to really trust your cashback provider to come through, which I don't. For me it's always the same canned excuses for why it didn't go through. If the possibility of not getting the cashback would make you regret getting it (i.e. it wasn't a good deal if not for the cashback) I'd probably avoid.

  • Im seriously considering mulvad.

  • Hack wouldn't be the right word for Nords situation. I work in the IT field and can comment that the only thing that was accessed was an expired TLS key, through which no damage can be done and no accounts or data can be accessed. It's pretty cut-throat in the VPN arena nowadays and any slight mishap, which in Nords case didn't do any harm, is being blown out of proportion.

    • It's not the fact that they were compromised.

They did not inform their customers or the public in a timely manner.

The question is what else have they hidden from us?

      • This is why I don't like Torgaurd - hack or no hack - they got attacked and yet said nothing until Nord came out about it. Not their first time either and not transparent but good thing is there heaps of vpns to use.
