  • Hmmm I'm guessing theyll have mens stuff too right?

  • well I was wondering that too, not too sure it doesn't seem to be heavily advertised. they should though..

  • Will try to check it out tomorrow, hopefully it's mens clothing too

  • Probably worth checking out even if men's clothing is excluded ;)

Will you still be checking clothing? I mean clothing for sale.

  • Probably just the stupid boat shit that nobody wants. Chance of getting a nice striped shirt, polo or jumper that looks good other than size XXXL is probably the same as a touchpad.

Telling a customer that there are absolutely no refunds is illegal :)

    • are u sure about that? I saw some stores show the sign.

S18 Australian Consumer Law - deceptive or misleading conduct?

Statutory rights entitles any purchase (not auction) to a refund/repair/exchange where the goods are faulty, not as described or don't do what they are supposed to.

As far as I know anyway

        • thanks for sharing

        • how about if the customer willingly, and knowingly enter into a new contract that expressively introduce a new agreement or condition that is to allow seller to prohibit refund AND therefore void the S18 of Australian Consumer Law?

          is it possible?

      • +1

Stores put the signs up to discourage returns but they can't change the law.

      • +1

The sign means nothing. A customer is entitled to a refund if the item is faulty.

        • Samples and seconds can be a little different, where flaws are brought to attention to the customer and items are being sold as is.

Store return policies and ‘no refund’ signs
Signs or cash register receipts that state ‘no refunds’ are misleading, because they
give you the impression that it is not possible for you to get a refund under any
circumstance—even when there is a major problem with the goods. For this reason, the
following examples of signs are unlawful:

        ‘no refund on sale items’
‘exchange or credit note only for return of sale items’
        ‘no refunds after 30 days’.

    • So what? It's still cheap and therefore a good deal/bargain.

  • Second-hand goods
The consumer guarantees apply whether the goods are new, ‘seconds’ or secondhand.
Depending on factors like price and age, it may not be reasonable to expect a
second-hand product to last as long or perform to the same standard as a new one.
For example, a second-hand vacuum cleaner is not expected to last as long as a
    new one

  • There were no Polos there only shirts for $80 and some blazers for men

  • We went there. My wife remarked that stock is better and cheaper in Birkenhead Point so we went there afterwards.
