  • Anyone near the morayfield store? Is there any decent stock left?

Is there any decent stock left?

      Has there ever been?

i went to the box hill one yesterday. There's basically nothing left except Bras that are massive (99% of women will only fit in one in their dreams), ladies shoes that are also too big for most people, and other stuff they can't sell.

There's some good bedding though if you're after a quilt or mattress topper.

And then there's stuff in open box, or display units.

      … and mine.

    • any cookware at boxhill??

      • +3

        Not much.

The store is empty except the very front, which I would estimate to be about 5% of the total floor space. It's on its last stock to move. I wouldn't suggest making the trip if you weren't already heading there.

Also, if you're scared of coronavirus, almost every asian is wearing a face mask there, and that is most people who frequent that place.

        • Woah, in the city it's only the usual internationals, though I saw the cleaner at the mall, one random guy, and all the staff (asian) at some lux brand at DJs wearing matching while at work.

  • Get a waffle iron if you see one.

    • Not familiar with the area. What’s wrong with it?

      • High proportion of Chinese people.

Oh. Do lots of them have chlamydia like most koalas or something?

@lostn: People above are saying you might catch something you don’t want. I’ve never been to Box Hill so I have no idea… chlamydia is something you can catch and I know that most koalas have it….

Edit: I think I understand what you’re trying to say. People of Box Hill are prejudiced to other people so it’s an uninviting place!

              • +1

@[Deactivated]: they did not say that. That's just your assumption.

If you're referring to ncov, I doubt the aussie gummint would have just allowed someone who was in china the last few weeks to just go wherever they please without being screened and tested first.

chlamydia is sexually transmitted. Be careful where you stick that thing and you should be fine.

                • @lostn: Hey buddy, wanna bet?

I work with international students. We have told those who were in Hubei province or Wuhan to not go to school. We literally have students that were in those areas less than 2 weeks ago before lockout.

It's that new disease that came from china, it has been there. Starting out in asian towns. All but the crown asian festivals have cancelled to avoid them getting all together and increasing risk of spread.

ABC is correct, no idea why they were down voted. Also I have friends who live in BH, because they're not the majority race they're treated like second rate citizens.

  • It’s actually 60-70% off, only a few stores have 80% off.

I was just in the Rockhampton store last week. Pretty empty except for cookware and more cookware.

  • What's left in Rundle place? I don't know shoud I spend at least an hour on travel to get there

    • +3

Not much left, some oversized men’s pants and some cookware stuff. They would of transferred all the good saleable stuff to stores that are staying open I suppose

  • When did the sales start?

      • I’d be cleaned out by now :(

It feels like the Dubbo store has been having closing down sales for like 3 years.
