      I can understand what you’re saying. You’re probably wondering why I insist on posting this here and not in comps even though the key words such as “instant win” are in the T&Cs.

      Firstly, this deal is similar to the shake & win deals that have been posted for HJs in the past. Some may think that there is additional effort to play a game to win but the nature is that what you will get is an unknown till the task (be it shake or play a game) is completed.

      Secondly, as mentioned in the OP, there was a deal previously posted for the Shopback app whereby an unknown prize was awarded on completion of a game. Again, what is required here is similar in nature.

      I don’t make the rules here. I am just following the precedence. If people feel the deals I post are out of line with the rules then the report button is there.

      Finally is something which I’ve wanted to get off my chest for a while. There are certain individuals here that go to great depth to give me a hard time. I am not asking for recognition or acknowledgement for the deals that I post here but why the hate? Is there a need to cyberstalk me elsewhere and defame me? Such actions are unwarranted but if you feel the need to go to this level then I can let “you” know that such actions have been reported to the police with evidence.

      Ozbargain, or any online community, is just a platform where like-minded people can share things to benefit each other. Hate is not required. Therefore, I once again remind “you” of the gentleman agreement I put forward of staying out of each other’s posts. I believe I have done my bit, let’s see if you can do yours.

        You post a lot. Obviously, they can't all be good deals. It might just be you being too sensitive.

        It seems most of your negs seem to come from your post of eBay. You just crawl through the terms for "coupons" that only work for eligible items. I understand why eBay no longer do sitewide codes, but if you're going to post a coupon, at least post something with it, so that people can see it as a deal, and not just another coupon.

          As for the eBay deals, once the code is there, deals found can be related to it. You will find that actual deals will get higher votes. I’m not posting to get more votes.

        It's an interesting phenomenon. I don't know why online communities bring out these types of individuals. I don't know what kind of people they are. Do they have mental health issues, are they children, or do they just have nothing else better to do but bully people online?

        I often wonder this. I'm not talking about just Ozbargain but even places like Reddit. You can post something so innocent and somehow you get bombarded with hate. People seem to feel the need to "correct" everything, like they're on a crusade or something .

        Anyway, I want to let you know you're appreciated. Anyone who posts deals to Ozbargain should be appreciated. This community wouldn't be without its contributors. I've saved plenty of money of your deals.

          Unfortunately, the more people like dealbot post (benefiting all of us!), the more negative, hateful comments they get.

          There are also people who support top OzBargain deal posters, who feel loyalty to their favourite & sledge the others. It's can be a bit like supporting your football team & hating the opposition. All Deal posters benefit us. We're all on the same team.

          I've chatted to a few top posters, who have all complained about this harassment. There can be a horrible feeling of being cyberstalked (from the same few individuals), as dealbot rightly complains about.
          We should call out all harassment as unacceptable.

          The harassment benefits no one! It takes a toll on those Deal posters.
          It can drive our best Deal posters off this site, depriving us of their great work for this community.

      I was going to have Macca's last night, before doing so I checked their app, I couldn't get it to work, as it needed to be updated but it wouldn't update/download, just kept trying to do so in the play store.

      Even restarted my phone a few times (Android)
      I gave it 5 min & gave up, so they lost a purchase.
      This would explain the needed update to their app at a guess.

            May not have to be random. More of 1 prize may be available at certain times.

                Can't draw anything from that, except no freebies for us.

                  @INFIDEL: Update: cheeseburger guy informs me that the cheeseburger punishment only occurs on accounts he created over the last month or so, where he often claimed a cheeseburger.

                  As you've observed, the IP address probably had no influence.
