  • That looks amazing and is indeed the lowest price.

    • +3

Haha, yep. I'm assuming it makes you breakfast for that price?

      • haha maybe not breakfast… but will make you perfect temp coffee or tea :)

      • +8

        Preciaion kettles are pretty expensive.

Even those Breville ones that does preset temps are over $100 a pop and I've thrown out a few because of the cheap plastic construction failing. Those were also wildly inaccurate the further it got from 100c. 70c preset was pretty much doing 85c.

For something with a decent construction and fancy functions, the price isn't exorbitant.

As for whether one needs precision temp, it all depends if one is fussy about their coffee. I am.

(And yes. Yes it does make breakfast. My coffee is my entire breakfast. :P)

        • Not fussy enough to use an espresso machine it seems!

          • +4

@DevGuy: For long blacks, I prefer filter to machine.

            • @[Deactivated]: Fair enough. I much prefer espresso. Still pretty happy with my Rocket R58 going on 5 years now (previously Miss Sylvia for 10 years, the tart). One day I’ll upgrade to something special like a Speedster. If I win the lottery :).

          • @DevGuy: I've got both - a decent espresso machine and v60 filters and have been prefering a lightly roasted filter coffee over espresso for a while now.

        • My coffee is my entire breakfast

          Bulletproof coffee?

      • +1

Breakfast? I'd want something the night before as well for that price.

I have one of these kettles and it's one of the best coffee purchases I have made.

            @AlternativeBrewing: Thx rep!

Shall now rejig the numbers in my business case to present to my CFO for funding approval… ;P

That is one ridiculously pretty piece of equipment.

reee i got a kettle from aldi wat makes water hot lolol this is soooo pretentious and no i dont know what that actually means i just use it as a synonym for expensive because i get sad when deals arent targeted at me specifically

  • Cool another Kickstarter success story! Hadn't heard of this one, though.

Does anyone know of a similar electric kettle for regular (ie. non-coffee) use, with fast water pour?
Our Breville's sensor is dying, and it refuses to stop heating until the water has been boiling furiously for a minute or even more sometimes. Also, the Breville's lowest setting is 70 degrees C, which is too hot for a lot of applications.

    • I've been very happy with one of the kogan smart glass ones, does 50-100C in 5 degree steps. Never had any issues with it in 2.5 yrs

  • Any deals on the Brewista Ratio + Brewista Smart Pour Variable OP?

    • +2

Feel free to use the same as above :) Will make that work - not much on the kettle there but will apply if both added - hope that helps

      • Great thanks!

Do you have any oxygen-free polarised power cords to go with it?

  • I mean I love the look of it, but I'm just not paying that for a kettle

  • This thing would be horrific to clean.

    • What are you putting in your kettle?

      • I think you want to worry more about what they are putting the kettle in.

    • +1

Hmm now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever cleaned a kettle before.

  • Anyone know of an induction kettle that also somehow turns off automatically/ lifts up the magnetic plate once boiled?
