Great speakers for that price OP, and as you mentioned $47.25 at officeworks so it's 5% price beating time :D http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Technology/Per…

Get in early tomorrow morning before they adjust their prices to match HN and avoid extra 5% off

They feel (8.5 Watts) less powerful than the logitech z313 (25 watts). I recon spend extra 4 dollars and get them delivered at home with 3 years warranty.

      Logitech is 2 years warranty!

      Warranty Period : 2 years

      • Sorry. Yes it is 2 years. I dont know about Edifier speakers warranty. Their retail price is around 80 dollars.
        and logitech website says:

        Total RMS power: 25 watts
        Peak power: 50 watts
        pretty good then these.

    • The only problem with z313 is out of stock and not available at logitechshop.

      • They were in stock when I posted

  • Pretty weak output for 2.1 speakers, only 8.5W. I agree with gagans suggestion.

Rated wattage has very little to do with "loudness". It all depends on the efficiency of the speaker elements inside.

  • Price dictates quality.

I have the predecessor speakers to these, the Edifier M1350. I purchased them based on Whirlpool forum's recommendation for best value for money PC speakers:

    http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/rmp_sg_whirlpoolpcs_systems

I was very sceptical buying a set of $29 speakers from a manufacturer I'd never heard of, but my scepticism was short lived. They're more than powerful enough with a nice deep base and clear sound. I can't have them up full or I'd get complaints from the neighbours. (NB. I'm no audiophile)

    Highly recommended.

I also have on of those ($16) and they do pretty darn well. Go bananas and get a pair of these IMO.

Good deal for a set of edifiers and a subwoofer, thanks!

  • Sounds like a good deal

Picked one up, I don't have any speakers at all atm so they have to be better than nothing. I had to get them to check their website for pricing as they were charging $49.95 for them. Thanks.

Picked one up as well, Harvey Norman at the QV are selling them for $44. But tell them to check their website and they'll lower the price. They seem okay, nothing in the box about warranty unfortunately.

  • how do these compare to Logitech LS21? They are also selling for $29 at big w
    (specs here - http://www.logitech.com/en-au/speakers-audio/home-pc-speaker…)

    • +1

That's a no brainer. You only get Logitech LS21 if there is nothing else to get.

  • They are pretty crappy speakers…. Don't get them if you care how music sounds.
