    In case some of you weren't aware, Woollies and Flybuys track your spending even when you don't scan your card:

    "Mr Sims said that some consumers would be "shocked" to learn that Coles' flybuys and Woolworths' Rewards scheme automatically link their loyalty accounts with their bank's cards, and can track their spending even when they do not present their loyalty card at the checkout."

      Good thing some of us churn out credit cards as well

      Doubt any ozbargainers use credit cards since discounted gift cards would net you the best results

        Yes I only shop with GC. Stuffing up their data matching is an added bonus.

      • Is your preferred method to just buy eGift cards and scan your phone at checkout?

        • I scan the printed eGC as I do not use a smart phone.

      I never received any such emails too, until I downloaded the app and these kind of offers, plus many other smaller offers, are all in there !

      • Yeah i have the app which has small offers every week, but I wamt to get this big offer too, ya know,, i feel sad :(

  • The last deal they had was $50 x 3 weeks = 6000 points.
    I completed this and only got 3000 points. Make sure you take a screenshot of the deal before you start it.

    • Have you figured out why? I had this happen once when I was doing the 4 week offer and for the first 2 weeks the receipt stated
      "Congratulations just X more week to go. Your week x qualifying shop is registered"
      but then it stopped and I did not get the 10k points.I called them up and the operator said he could not understand what went wrong, only maybe that I purchased a gift card the 3rd week (but I have done that before without issue). He had to escalate and I got the points within the week. In this case it was clear that I had activated the offer and the all 4 spends appeared in the online statement. Some people have commented that they were told they did not activate the offer and I agree this is where it's good to keep a screen shot.

        In my case I did activate the offer and did get points however it was only half of what they advertised.
        I think it was a targetted add and they didn't account for that targeting from a functional aspect so I wouldn't be surprised if it's a bug on their side. Pretty stupid mistake though.

  • So I had received this on my flybuys account and previously activated it, and for some reason it has now disappeared from my offers (even after qualifying for my week 1 spend - my receipt also stated that I had also qualified for my week 1 spend). Is this normal?

      Yeah it happens a lot . It always works out without having to chase them up
