Looks like it just came back in stock at Futu ebay for $319 and you can use the code POTENT for 20% off on it. Ordered mine then.

    Confirm e-gift card.

  • looks like e-gift card promotion dates have ended.

    • odd how i got a downvote for no real reason :o

the dates are posted clearly in the ebay description - valid models between 01/11/2019 and 15/01/2020, then claim submitted by 31/01/2020. Whats so hard for some people to understand?

  • Thanks OP!

  • Great post OP! Just bought!

Keep misreading futu online as Futa online… too many doujins

    23.8" 1080p Freesync 1ms and 144hz

It's 1ms MPRT Not 1ms GTG meaning it's likely 4ms GTG response time so nothing brag worthy. If you want real 1ms IPS you will need a couple thousand $$$

      • +1

It's not much worse than the best IPS monitor money can buy in terms of pixel response times (LG 27GL850)

  • Great deal. I have an XG2405 for $265 that’s pending to be delivered in the week of the 23rd. Should I cancel for this? Faster shipping and slightly cheaper, but I heard the ViewSonic buys a higher bin of the same panda panel so it should have better colours, less IPS glow, etc.

I just bought a TN 27" Asus VG278Q for $230. I do a hell of a lot of office work. The colours are rubbish until you do some gaming. Would love a proper 144hz IPS but can't live without those extra 3 inches…

Sorry for the off tangent… Basically, a decent IPS should smoke a TN

Did you take a look at the Philips 27M28 from Officeworks for $249? 27" 144hz IPS FHD monitor.

doing office work on such a low PPI screen? RIP eyes. I cant even tolerate 24inch full HD for text work

    • There's a 27G2 for another $70.

bought this for my girlfriend from computer alliance 4 months ago, she loves it, picture quality is great only downside was had to return first one as it had a dead pixel.

do a backlight/deadpixel test when you get it

  • And it's been Ozbargained :c

    • its at centre.com for 269 plus delivery, if youre desperate you can pre order it there

  • I've been looking for this monitor for a few weeks and the first deal is gone in my sleep :(

  • Very good reviews for a "budget" gaming monitor. Most places has it for $269.00 instead of $319. That's what these 20% Ebay deals do. Increase the price before the 20% discount ending up saving you $10 - $20.

  • Got mine over the weekend. I come from a 24" 144hz non-gsync TN panel and its prob the best upgrade to date.

  • Dammit sad I missed this. Great price for a great monitor.

    • Still available for only a few dollars more if you have eBay Plus with PLUV10.

  • Got 2 of these last november, so hard to find in stock. Amazing budget IPS 144hz monitors!

  • I purchased a Philips 24" 246E9QJAB, which looks fantastic on paper, but has awful gradient banding. Very very noticeable dithering in dark scenes (like Aladdin 2019). Completely kills picture sharpness. It's a 6bit + FRC panel. I see that the 24G2 is also a 6bit + FRC. For owners of the 24G2 - how's the gradient banding on the monitor? Is it good for movies watching?

I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. Need a good multimedia panel for kids Netflix and Switch. 1440p would offer true 8bit panel but I understand the Switch really is poor on 1440p and not much better on a 2160p panel.

All 1080p IPS is 6bit + FRC. Only VA at 1080p is true 8 bit. But honestly if its only your kids using it and the Switch (which already looks bad even at native 1080p), would banding really be an issue? I can only see it on gradient test images.

      • I didn't know this. I assumed that the more expensive models like Dell Ultrasharp would be 8 bit colour.

Modern TVs are 10 bit ; 6 bit colour depth is awefully primitive in comparison.

        • Maybe there is an 8bit IPS at 1080p but I've yet to see one. My Dell Ultrasharp (it's quite old now though) is also 6bit + FRC. Looks great to me though.

  • omg… been dreaming about this monitor… gone in my sleep too LOL

u guys are way too fast!

  • Anyone have any guides on the best settings for this monitor? Thanks
