    • +13

Roast chickens are normally $10, 2L Coke is like $2.65.

      • Woollies has dead chooks for $8 every Tuesday.
Commonly known as, Dead Chook Tuesday.

          Chirp Tuesday?

Do they have a day that they sell live chooks?

        • Croaked Chook Tuesday. In all stores?

Did the price go up? Isn't whole roast chicken usually $6 when on special at either Coles or Woolies.

I'm not a fan of supermarket roast chicken. The meat is too sloppy. It probably gets that way from stewing in its own juices in a plastic bag.

        • They haven’t been $6 for years.

      • +1

$8 anytime I've got it at Woolworths

  • +1

I saw the same deal at woolies today too. Not sure what size the coke was.

    • How bout the Chook who has the bigegst?

      • +2

I prefer the ones at Woolies but i dont like to discriminate when it comes to chicks

        • +1

Same here. Our tastebuds prefer Woolies chooks

        • I prefer Coles' more flavour to me

        • +2

Same here. Woolies chooks more moist xD xD

  • +2

You can also get the coke variations with this deal.

Last time I bought a chook they were $10 at Woolworths. Can't remember Cole's price.

    no deal, way too expensive.

The $29 RSCPA deal for a whole horse is way better value for money.

    • Unless you’ve already got a good set up you might change your mind after trying to process something that large.

      • “Well my friend Jay Riemenschneider eats horse all the time“

  • I prefer roasting my own chicken in a weber bbq. The roast chicken from my local coles are over done and way too dry.

Am I the only person wondering why you would want hot coke to match a hot chook I plan to eat when I get home…

    • oh yeah, good point.

    • +1

Entirely too much logic for this time of night

  • no pic really

  • +6

PSA: coles has a policy if there aren't any chooks between 9am to 8pm then you get a voucher for a free chook next time. Depends on the individual store but most will have the sticker on the hotbar if they do. Just redeemed my freebie just now.

  • Cock and Coke…it's been done before.

Deli cooked chicken taste plain or worse like chemicals and metal to me, I rather cook it myself with real 3rd world country exotic flavours. There are only 4 Reasons why people would buy deli cooked chicken:

    1) they never had it before.
    2) they are too lazy to cook and don't care what they eat.
    3) they don't have time to cook and low on cash so they tolerate the taste but deep inside they wish they were eating something else.
    4) they actually like plain tasteless food.

Instead of down voting my comment and running
away because deep inside you know I'm right. why don't you admit which number are you?

    • +3

I'm part of 2 (lazy) and a part of 3! (can't be arsed..sometimes i find the time on weekends when I remember)

I've only just started learning how to cook chicken and after a a few attempts to be honest it's not any cheaper and doesn't taste any better than supermarket chickens.. the guys in the Deli do it so much they can do a better job than me, also I'm trying to lose a lot of weight and I feel to make my cooked chickens taste a lot better I'm going to have to add spices and marinates that I probably shouldn't for the moment, I usually don't eat the skin as well so that'd just go to waste.

    • Nahh they good mate don't worry

  • So you either get your chicken and coke warm or by the time your coke is cold, so is your chicken.

  • +1

I normally get my chicken at around 5:30pm when the price is reduced to $7.50 at my local woolies/
