  • Are there any improvements with the ultraboost 20 over the ultraboost 19?

    • +36

      only 1

    • +5

      5.26% boostier

    • I believe 20 have better colours, eg, all black.

    • I'm getting personal bests on my Nike Vaporfly with 3% improvement.
Will the ultraboost do the same for me?

  • +3

what so good about ultraboost? they just runners?

    • +1

What's so special about them? They don't even look half good imo.

      • Yeah, they are ugly for sure.

They are known for how lightweight and comfortable they are.

        • UB19 is pretty heavy but they're hella comfy

      • The older Ultraboosts look much better, but the 19 and 20 are better runners.

For me they are the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. Nike might make better runners, but UB is better for distance and casual. If you ever hit the pavement on holidays i highly recommend a pair. I prefer the trail versions for hiking. Just wish they made a goretex version.

        • I've run in Nike's for years, but picked up a pair of the Ultraboost 19's to try as I've always been curious.

They arrived yesterday - tried them on last night - they look great and feel pretty good, even without a bit of wearing-in.

I went down half a size from the Nike's and I 'think' that was the right decision, but it's touch and go as to whether I need an extra 0.4cm that the next size up would give me. I've got half a thumb width at the toe, but should be enough. It's always a catch-22 to go up as also need it snug given I understand the upper may stretch a tad after a few runs.

Most of the reviews suggest these aren't the fastest kicks as they're a little weighty, but will get out with them to test. Interestingly, there's also no ability to heel lock lace as no extra optional eyelet… so will need to see how my foot rides when I hit the pavement.

    • I agree, got meself some nike air yesterday, very comfortable (cushioning) not sure about this one want to know as well, friends kept on talking bout this

    • +4

I can tell you one thing for sure. They are noticeably more comfortable during "running" than ASIC kayanos.

      • +1

The kayanos are a stability shoe though, the ultraboosts are neutral.
I haven't tried these, but the Kayanos are more comfortable for me than other neutral shoes, because I have over-pronation.

        • my foot seems to slide around the UB compared to the kayanos. They don't do up as 'tight' which doesn't help

    • +2

Comfiest shoes I have ever owned. I wear them everywhere

  • +9

Pity they don't come in all back, so we can wear them for work.

    • +1

I bought the black top and white sole version. People use black leather polish to dye the soles

      • +1

My white soles are pretty dirty now. Should i do this?

        • Look up a few guides on youtube. An oil based black sharpie is apparently a decent method although it requires touch ups, it's meant to be the quickest and easiest

  • Am I the only one that uses these for running?

    • +1

I run in the. Great shoes.

    • +1

I run in these as well,

    • -1

      Yeh your the chosen one

  • Been trying to find Ultraboost ST, what happened happened to these?

  • Do we know if the size selection is in US or UK?

  • How's the return policy for Adidas if the sizing is wrong?

  • What colours do people get? So many different colours to choose from.

  • +5

Found these also on special (which I have been waiting for!)

    • +1

      didn't need them but …..

    • +1

Thanks. I was looking for Ultraboost with dark soles. I prefer all black but these are close enough.

  • Thanks op

    Got the David Beckham ultraboost!

  • Very solid shoes. Bought a pair when the last sale was on and liked it enough to get a 2nd pair just now.
Sizing guides online suggested they run a bit tight, so I got them extra half size up and had no problems.
They have mesh design so can be tight when first wearing them in, but they quickly stretch out after a few wears.

    • Yep bought my normal shoe size and were too tight. But I removed sole and fits comfortably. Will get half size up for future

  • -3

Never tried these before what would a men's asic gel nimbus 10.5 be in these?

    • -4

thanks all, absolutely useful suggestions for me…

  • +1

They are great shoes for running. .only problem i find in this is the foam underneath tends to get a slope if the size is not perfect for your feet. I recommend going to a outlet test your size and get the right one from web

  • Wish the code worked for the black and white UB19 last time, got the white and grey/orange, pretty good still. Maybe not worth the stuff around sending back.

    • Still within 30 days so no worries ordered another colour.

  • What difference is this between 20 and 19? Just aesthetics?

    • Same sole. Just upper changes — with those stitches around the forefoot to provide more structure.

  • +3

Thanks OP. My first Ultraboost .Pretty good buy works out to $99 after discounts and cashback - https://www.adidas.com.au/ultraboost-19-shoes/G27516.html . Unsure about fit . With free returns - got my normal size plus 1/2 size up.

    • Seems like just that particular colourway in those big sizes is that cheap..

    • +1

I got these too. I like the colourway

  • +1

How do these go size-wise? With Nike Pegasus 35's I went up half a size for toe comfort. Are these true to size or run slightly larger or smaller?

    • +2

If you have narrow feet they are true to size. If you have normal or wide feet go up half a size as they are tight.

    • +1

I went half a size down compared to Nike, same size felt a bit long in the toe box but either may be fine depending what socks

    • +1

I am a size 9.5 in UB and size 10 in Pegasus 35s.

    • +1

I also go up half a size in Nikes for the same reason, but find Adidas true to size.

      • Thanks Jacko, G-rig, tarken and julesa - placed an order :)

        • No worries fookos lets hope they don't take too long to turn up.
The cushioning is a lot better than the Pegasus or feels nicer at least. I don't really wear thick socks but these would still give with the material they're made out of.
I ended up ordering the black ones, was going to send back the solar orange pair but wondering if it's worth the trouble. These are great for ~$110 or so after cashback, don't think they'll get any cheaper.

          • @G-rig: Thanks G-rig - looking forward to trying them out, and too good of a price to ignore as I've been keen to compare them with my Nike's for some time. If I like them, I'll buy more going forward.

  • +1

Have they sorted out the delivery issues? last order took 3 weeks to arrive

  • +1

Bought these for $91 from DFO Moorabbin about 3 weeks ago. Really comfy. Highly recommended.

  • Got the solar boost. Ta

  • thank you !! been waiting for a price drop

got the ultraboost 1.0 seoul (white) for $106 after cashback

  • -6

    Guys.
These models were selling for $90 at the Adidas outlets on Australia day till last week.
    Got 2 pairs

  • you can also get the solar glide and solar boost shoes which are on sale too and get discounted with the code.. i have a pair of solar glide and they are light and comfortable runners, especially coming from asics nimbus for my last three pairs of shoes.
https://www.adidas.com.au/solarboost-19-shoes/EF1413.html sizes going quickly by the looks of things.

  • just got me some Ultraboost! see how they feel compared to my solar glides.
    thanks for Posting OP!

  • Anyone get any shipping notifications?

  • Wow these were sent express! Picked up in Tassie this arvo (ordered Sunday night). Was worried it would take weeks.

    • You get any notifications?

      • If you made an account when you placed your order you’ll see order status and tracking in there.

      • Didn't create an account so no notifications, just a pickup slip in the mailbox.

  • I think mine shipped today - ordered in the early hours of Monday (before 2am).

  • Mine says shipped 24 February but it’s still not trackable via Australia post. Didn’t get email notification at all.

    • Mine just got delivered today via express post. Tracking number don't match what was on the order.

  • Anyone still has "Order confirmed, waiting to be packed" when checking the status?

    • Yup, that's my status too. Ordered on the 23rd.

      • Was excited seeing other got shipped but have the feeling I might have to wait for a while or even get cancellation.

        • Mine finally shipped. Hope yours does soon too.

    • Yeah, mine stuck on order confirmed. They are getting smashed. They've had a few big releases and a few big sales.

I hopped on chat and asked whats up and they gave me a 20% off voucher. i bought more shoes. My gf is gonna kill me.

  • Heard nothing. Sigh.

  • I got an email saying it was shipped yesterday. Also got a tracking number which "can't be found" when entered on the Australia Post site.

    • +1

Don't worry - my tracking details never worked, and never showed in my Aussie Post app, but my kicks arrived today. Odd… but main thing is they arrived!

  • Got mine today. My usual size has the correct length, but its width is tight and I can feel it compressing my feet. If I go half a size up, it will be too long.

    • Supposedly they do give a little after a bit of wear.

  • I received mine the next day wtf

  • Too tight width wise compared to my UB ST's tho. Hopefully it will widen up with wear

  • Got mine today, but website still says waiting to be packed! It's a size too small and I want to exchange but can't since the order isn't saying it's shipped! I'll jump on chat I guess…

  • How's everyone find their first run in the Ultraboost? I've gotta say, I'm unsure of my next move.

They have cushion comfort to walk around in, but I had lower leg soreness the day after my first run in them, which I never normally do… Took a couple of days to subside - could just be they hold my feet differently tot the Nike's and increased use of a muscle group that isn't normally tested as much.

TBH, I think I'm going back to my Pegasus' and will wear the UBoost 19's for casual sporting action rather than running. I reckon they are more a lifestyle sneaker.

    • I have 6 pairs of Ultraboost and never have I ran in them. They're definitely more of a lifestyle shoe. At least for me. So comfy to walk, went hiking in one of them on Sunday and they were excellent.
Running, I'll stick to my Kayanos

      • Thanks for the note - I'm happy to hang onto them and will keep them for other activity. How have you found the Kayanos - they're a stability shoe aren't they rather than neutral?

        • +1

Definitely keep the Ultraboost, I loved my first pair so much, that I have kept buying them and wear them nearly everywhere.
And yeah, Kayanos are a Stability shoe, I don't run as often anymore as I'm move into lifting. But Kayanos were excellent running shoes. Just make sure you use a runners lock on them.

  • Anyone else still waiting on their order to ship?

    • Got a cancellation email today.

      • What date did place your order?
