      • That's normally paid by the owner for the connection. Fight for your right unless it states otherwise in the lease agreement.

        • There's rarely a lease where the owner will pay for it unless they want to entice someone. In mine they were clear on that and I'm not willing to throw $300 to the wind. 4G works well and have no issues. But obviously every location and lease are different.

  • Thanks OP. Ported in from Telstra.

Recently got my desk relocated from Level three to Ground floor in Barton ACT.
Literally zero signal strength since then.
Optus Network got full Signal strength.
I couldn't beleive, if it didn't happen to me.
Hopefully this will solve my troubles with phone reception.

    • Telstra connection is getting shite for the last couple of weeks or more. Moved to Optus and saw this deal. Hope it still on for the next few months.

    • Telstra is absolutely bogus signal indoors, at least in Melbourne CBD and suburbs.

    • Previously with Vodafone, shitty signal when indoor. changed to catch connect (using optus) few days ago and have full bars signal.

  • Currently on Circles, & having low signal issues at home. Amaysim & Circles are both on Optus correct? so moving across won't solve that problem :/

    • Both Optus

      • Unfortunate. Hoping that Boost has a deal like this sometime.

  • Ported from Optus $40 - 80GB to Amaysim (which uses optus services) $30 - 100GB.

Port over clicked optus, account number. Pretty easy.

    Just an FYI…
    1. This deal is linked to a Click Energy promotion.
    2. Amaysim own Click Energy (company name is actually "Amaysim Energy Pty Ltd").
    3. Click Energy were found guilty by the ACCC (Federal Court) for making false or misleading marketing claims.

Good luck finding a major retailer that hasn't been fined by ACCC in the last decade lol.

  • Boost stuffed me around trying to port my Number from Telstra…. well telstra really stuffed it because they couldn’t work out how to put me on prepaid. So I demanded a refund from boost and signed up to this. Grabbed a $2 amaysim sim, rang support and Ported me in 20 mins. Speeds faster than Telstra where I live. Very happy

  • Do you need to sign up to a energy plan to get this deal and is the 100 gb permanent per month

    • No need to sign up to energy plan. Yes, 100gb per month

  • Can this be used in a 4g modem?

    • may work in an unlocked 4g modem based on the comment above

    • Need to be careful as to the number of data requests and volume of data consumed by multiple devices at same time. A phone has a standard data consumption profile - attach 4 devices to the phone or just use a modem and that usage profile will change. If they review high volume users and notice this profile they may kill the sim after giving you a warning if you keep it up. If they are sloppy and don't monitor high usage then go for it.

I was on this same deal existing customer on AMAYSIM but 45GB data for $30 every 28 Days.

Nowhere on the deal page or the downloadable deal page does it say existing customers or that they cannot connect your existing number. I phoned customer care and they tried to say the deal wasn't active, I replied that the site page was still accepting customer registrations. Next they advised that it was for new customers, I replied that nowhere on the deal page or on the downloadable page giving full details did it specify this, so if this was a requirement then under ACL they must state these conditions in their paperwork prior to people signing up. The call rep went away and spoke to someone, we had a bit more to and fro and then she went away again. She then upgraded me and set my billing to activate as from the upgrade date, no porting number or anything. So 100GB for same price I was already paying :) Good old Australian Consumer Law :)

i'll use this information if they try to run me around the bush on it. thanks!

  • +1

Thanks OP.. Just ported over from optus - insane amount of data for that price

    • +1

I've just done the same. Way better than my $40/15GB Optus deal. Thanks OP!

  • Does anyone know when this deal expires? I still have two weeks on my current sim only plan

  • +2

Great deal, but keep in mind that 28 days is actually 13 renewals a year so it's $32.50/month.

  • +1

Strange that only very limited supply of heavy discounted large data plan these days. Remember the $40 for 80G BYO from Optus? and all the super large data plan with discount they do before? May be they got fine too much and can't do those deals anymore….LOL

I caught their last decent offer during may which is 20% off https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/457744

S10 512G for $105 / month, 200G data. The phone was going for $1350 at the time so basically I pay $48.75 for 200G a month. Another 15 months to go……

  • anyone able to PM me the original link?

  • So those who signed up already, are they eligible for it? Or will amaysim cancel?

    • +1

I fully intend to get them to honor it, or refund my $30.

      • Man same I hope they honor it if not i want my refund if not just chargeback

    • Im signed up. Did it online, then bought a $2 sim and had it activated over the phone. Working great. I came from Telstra and very impressed

  • its not like they are loosing money for it. If COL can do it for $28 I am sure they can do it.

Just skip the garbage and make it a public offer man!

  • If I am at a ' sim not yet receive' or just shipped , will our current mobile service affected?

    • Until you receive the sim, nothing will be affected. Porting only commences when you want it too.

  • +4

It's available through One Big Switch.
    Expires tomorrow.

    • huh wow, so it is. that means it isn't an exclusive offer for Click Energy customers as Amaysim is saying it is.

    • Any chance you can pm me the link. Would really appreciate it! Don't have broadband and this would be great for hotspotting

    • please do let me know if you have any spare one :)

  • started port process (from optus) yesterday at 4.30pm.. service became live at 2.30pm today.. so far so good

  • I received my sim from the original 100gb deal but when I go to activate the sim I can’t find a 100gb link. I guess I use the $30 choice then hope it remembers I signed up for the 100gb ?
I hope it doesn’t ask for a promo code cos I didn’t get one

    • +1

You activate the sim from your account, just sign in to your account with the email you registered with.
You'll see a number in your dashboard that needs activating. Just click that and follow the prompts.
