I have a copy of the PDF and no mention of criteria to sign up. No mention in a chat I had either.

      • If possible, please forward that PDF to us so we can better evaluate the situation. Email address is [email protected]

        • +2

I've sent an email wit the PDF & a screenshot of the page. Neither has any information pertaining to the deal being exclusive to anyone, neither Click Energy customers, or existing / previous Amaysim customers.

        • Have what you needed from intruhvurted?

    • +1

Worth noting it is available via One Big Switch (same plan, different promo code).

    • Seen comment by whodidthat on page 2? I just signed up my daughter. Maybe change your moderator comment.

Great deal, but just a PSA, as a user of Amaysim their coverage and delivery times for text can be pretty substandard. At times I'll receive messages hours late if at all and I'll send messages that never get delivered. Calls and data seem fine and I never really have issues getting internet, it's mostly just text messages that I regularly have issues with.

My everyday environment isn't great for coverage and your mileage may vary, but coming from Telstra I've noticed the difference.

Just something to be aware of.

    • +1

Seen similar delays on catchconnect. Anyone know why?

      • Yeah have had a lot of service quality (poor coverage, mobile data not working, DNS dropouts, random speed throttling for no reason) problems with both providers, hence switched to Boost mobile (happy to pay a little extra for less data as long as the service works consistently).

      • +1

same. I've been on catchconnect, kogan, amaysim, vaya and I can strongly advise NOT to go with catchconnect. It's got the longest delays of all, slowest network of all.

Only good thing is you get someone who is not foreign on the support line - BUT theyre barely trained hence USELESS. I'd rather the kogan team, get someone from Philippines but at least they know what the **** they're doing.

    • +7

Well it's through the Optus mobile network so it likely has some thing to do with Optus.

However i'm on amaysim and i tend to receive messages almost instantly. It might be to do with severe sms data congestion on your Optus mobile tower.

    • +1

Agreed 100% … same with Optus providers …. Msges takes Hours !!!! 🤔🤔🤔 tested with both mobiles in front of me .. 2 hrs 22’ !!!

  • +2

    Floptus, coverage is meh

  • Anyone know if there's a limit to how many devices can connect to a hotspot?

Found out boost has a max of 1 a little too late!

    • +7

How does the carrier limit how many devices that connect to your hotspot? They only see the one device that connects to it's network, nothing else.

      • +2

Android allows 10 devices to be connected.

    • +4

I've got a Boost sim in an E5372T and can connect multiple devices to it.
Are you sure you didn't limit to 1 device in your hotspot settings?

      • Ex Boost customer last year. Shared with 3 devices over previous Xmas period with no issues.

    • I have the same problem with my boost mobile sim

      • How are you sharing the data out?

        • I'm not

          • +2

@Zalur: Then how could you have the same problem As DaddyBelt, aka the comment you replied to saying you have the same problem.

            • @JimmyF: I mean I'm not sharing my data because it doesn't work. I tried using my phone's hotspot to connec tot my smart house devices. Previously when on Telstra I had no issues.

    • Not me. Both laptop and tablet work fine.

    • Hotspot 3 or more devices to my phone regularly with boost

  • +4

Great deal, but at $10 per extra GB you would want to keep a close watch on your usage. Going over by 10% adds $100 to your monthly bill.

  • +2

    For new customer only ?

  • +1

Can anyone purchase this plan or it is restricted to Click Energy members?

    • +1 Do they check if you have an account with Click Energy?

      • +6

Worked for me without a click energy account

  • +1

Woohoo! Seems to have worked for me. Good if you use optus, thanks OP :D

    Brb cancelling home internet now

  • I was contemplating posting this deal but thought it might be targeted as I saw it on my internal employee deals site earlier today. It also looks like an ongoing deal instead of first month only.
In the past, I have also come across some providers who somehow lock the phones ability to share data - not sure how they do that and I can’t remember if amaysim was one of those.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can someone find what the 10 countries are?

    Edit: found it:

God (profanity) damn it, I finally caved and got a year of Boost the other day and now this comes up.

I'd still be better off canning the home internet and jumping on this to save a good 60 a month, but the boost deal bums me out. Gotta find someone to flip it to.

    • Ha, I’m thinking of doing the same too!

Any recommendations for a pocket wi-fi modem? I already have a plan with Amaysim.

  • +11

Renews every 28 days means 13 bills per year.

    • +16

      $32.5 per month

      • This should be added to the title.

  • +1

I just signed up. No checks for Click Energy account.

Surprisingly Optus has really stepped up their game in Melbourne. 2 different offices I work, CBD and Northern suburbs, and home in SE suburbs, all have far superior 4G speeds on Optus. Never noticed a difference in call quality either.

  • +1

Does anyone know how to take advantage of this deal if your already with Amaysim?

    • You might have to port out and port in using a $2/free sim.

  • +2

so 100GB a month? not just the first month?

Is it a plan or cancel anytime?

    • +1

so 100GB a month? not just the first month?

It's 100GB/28 days. Data allowance will renew after 28 days, no roll-over.

Is it a plan or cancel anytime?

It's a plan but no lock-in, so you can cancel anytime.

Alternatively, you can click on the deal above and find the "Critical Info Summary" PDF attached in "Your Order" summary

      Early Termination
With amaysim, there is no minimum term contract, so you can cancel whenever you want. There is no fee for cancellation.
We just ask that you send an email to [email protected]. Please note, you could receive Post-paid invoices with
delayed usage charges up to 2 months after you disconnect. If you terminate an UNLIMITED Mobile Plan during a 28 day
period, without using up your allowance your maximum charge will be the amount you paid for your plan. You will also be
charged for any additional usage over these allowances and you must pay the entire 28 day fee, even if you cancel part
way through a 28 day period (in other words, there will be no refund if you are a Pre-paid customer, or you will still be billed
the full 28 day amount if you are a Post-paid customer).

        NO WHAT?????

haha all good thanks for the info

    • so 100GB a month?

      No, it's every 28 days.

  • +1

If only Optus had good data speeds at my home, I'd switch to this for home internet.

  • +1

How hasn’t this got more upvotes….

    • -4

      because it's Floptus

    • +1

Not sure, seems too good to be true

      • Not really much different to the 100GB/month plan that Circles Life had for a short period

  • +1

Would this work in a 4G modem?

  • Any chance of Cashback with cash rewards

  • +1

Thanks OP, changed from an Optus 30GB for $35 plan

    • Have you actived the amaysim now?

      • Not yet, will activate when they send out.

    • I have the same plan, considering changing to this

      • +1

For me it was a bit of a no brainer. At the time that plan was one of the better ones for me but this is just so much more value using essentially the same network. I must admit some of the stories above made me think twice before I pulled the trigger.

        • +1

I'm on family shared data and the 30gb is the greatest contributor to the pool, so pulling out might cause unwanted $10/1GB bills.. otherwise yes would be a no-brainer, don't care what others are saying the optus network (which amaysim uses) is fine for me.

          • +1

@Andard: Likewise in relation to the network coverage, to the point that my mobile network is consistently twice as fast as my NBN connection.

  • Do I need buy a amaysim sim card now? Or waiting for their delivery ?

    • +2

By default, they mail it out via standard post (for free).

Alternatively, you can buy a $2 sim from Coles, Big W, etc. and go on live chat to activate that one instead.

      • Thanks

      • Thank you!
Gunna go down to coles now and grab a sim!

      • Update on that, I got the Sim from coles and went into live chat, she told me specifically that promo’s like this I can’t use a retail Sim to activate it I have to wait for their sim :(

  • +1

    Thanks OP!

  • +1

    thanks for sharing this deal.
is it possible to port from Optus to Amaysim since its on the same network?

    • +1

I just did. Didn't seem impossible.

      • thank you.

      • How long did it take?

        • Didn't pay that much attention - couldn't have been more than a couple of hours.

    • I just typed in account number and phone number to register and porting in the number less than 5 minutes?

  • 100GB is good, it's the lack of VoLTE and my partner complaining about Circles Life coverage (Optus), that makes me hesitant to switch.

    • Didn't you get Circle Life 100GB/$28?

    • my Circles Life coverage is pretty bad, i barely get 1 bar on my iPhone 8 (live in Molendinar on the GC). waiting for something like this on Boost

  • -4

    Coverage is meh

    • +5

What, in every single location in Australia? Thanks for your valuable insight.

      • Yes, I get good speeds only once in a while and I have been with them for the past one year. Currently, I am on their $40 plan which was supposed to be unlimited but I can bearly stream a YT video at 720p.

        • Optus 4G is fast in Melbourne CBD, North and SE. 90+ Mbps easily.

      • When my NBN went out for a week, I used my mobile w Amaysim to stream Netflix with zero issues. I'm on the east side of Brisbane.

  • So this is a post paid service or prepaid?

    • +8

      Yes.

  • Even Feb-20 has 29 days.
    No thanks.

  • Wow, if you need 100gb it’s actually a brilliant deal.

  • Thanks OP, signed up and now just waiting for the sim to be delivered. This is an excellent deal.

  • Data banking?

  • When will the $30 be charged ? 28 days from purchase date?

    • +1

No, you get charged $30 straight up. Then it's every 28 days from the date of activation.

  • checked with Amaysim this plan is for 6 renewals and then reverts back to a standard $30.00 plan and can be used in a modem if not locked

  • +1

    Can I activate 1 month later ?

  • +1

Couldn't this replace a fixed NBN connection?

    • Potentially. I've got a brand new FTTP connection where I'm living and the owner won't pay the connection fee so I'm using circles.life 4G and it's more than enough for us. I pity the person who will live here after me. They're going to be up for a $300 NBN connection fee if they want NBN. 😂😂
