Not necessarily. More people fly in for Grand Prix. Most Coronavirus at the moment is imported not home grown.

I just arrived in Melbourne and can confirm this deal has expired. Was hoping to get a ticket. One of the guys in the merch booth told me they just removed the ticket tent.
