Took a call to TIO to resolve a simple billing error which they aggressively pursued.

I’d avoid these guys, there are plenty of value prepaid options around.

  • Personally I found them quite good, they my number wasn’t ported and I was given a new number by mistake so they fixed it and credited me the credit I would’ve otherwise lost.

  • I have an account with these guys for a phone my son uses. He seems to get a lot of spam/advertising text messages, anyone with these guys get those sort of texts?

Been with Circles for a couple of months now. Have never received any spam

Phone numbers are recycled by all telcos. It's because of previous user of the number.
Received no text messages (except to remind me of usage or billing).

      • This sounds likely.

        • Ages ago I activated with Telstra, & my first SMS received demanded payment of speeding fines (I had none) or I'd lose my license! Shocked, I contacted them & they said it was a common problem. My new number was removed from their record.

Does he sign up to online stuff

      • No, hasn't signed up to anything. Doesn't even know his number off the top of his head. His first phone as first year in high school and is using a bus and train.

        • Then likely recycled number as others suggested

Was with them for 5 months and received none.
It could be one of the 2 reasons mentioned here.
Billing problems… Plenty of them ☹️

  • I'm currently looking for a good plan from other provider to get away from them

  • Very happy with service.
Extra 3GB/month free data to avoid bill shock is a handy feature!
