      It's the mobile version. I think only very few laptops have a desktop equivalent GPU and they tend to be very chunky laptops

    I really hope Dell made a typo on the G5 having a 130W power supply. My laptop has an i7-8750H + RTX2060 and it still chews into the battery a little with a 180W supply while gaming. It'll throttle badly with a 130W supply

      I have the same laptop. The battery doesn't have enough power to feed the GPU, need to have the charger plugged in the whole time when gaming

          Yes it is 180W, however I have the G7 model with same specs as yours

      Would the power supply be OK then with the 3rd G5 on your list with the 1660 Ti?

      It'll be used for photo/video editing and no gaming.

    Seems like the differences is the g7 has better thermals, has a metal shell, slightly slimmer and a bigger screen. What other differences are there?

      That’s a 17inch laptop, which isn’t very portable.
      I would rather the G5 with an i7 than a G7 with an i5 if all other specs were the same
