    is this 144 pack?

    • can't be right

      • +1

One possibility, not considered below (as far as I've read, down there) is:

A business is going under, & had a huge qty of batteries in rented space, & - rather than have to pay more rent (say from April), they're dumping them onto the market (rather than in a landfill)

Unlikely, but I bought a few, must in case.

The AAA deal will give us a few long (10 yr) shelf-life batteries [for the cat's remote control spider toy & our Soeks Geiger Counters]

        • +1

They can dump at any liquidator and get at least 5 X more !

          • -1

@popsiee: Altho listing says "New" could their dats
be near some "Dom't Sell After" date?

            Unlikely.

Maybe the owner wants to help folks &/or
"preppers" ready themselves for any not-
            so-optimal outcome of the COVID-19
            pandemic…?

            Even less likely.

            • -4

@IVI: That $10 Delivery fee was the only reason I didn't try to "drop ship" - as gifts - some of -every- kind of cell (incl'g Lithium AA) that this vendor has been offering…to friends!

(There was no way to combine diff. cell types into 1 Order & get it sent, costing just $10 for the combo.)

PS Could the vendor be an older person (at higher risk of dying from COVID-19), who has that disease, & has no heirs to take over the business…?

          • -3

@popsiee: Maybe their rent would be even more than that
OR the cost of getting them shlep per over
            to liquidator is projibirive…?

PS Maybe there's a Divorce / Property Settlement due, soon, &
a disgruntled party doesn't want the other party to get as much $…?

        • -2

Is there a precedence for this kind of offering, &…

HAS ANYONE -EVER- GOT WHAT THEY ORDERED,
          AT SIMILARLY WILD PRICES?

    • +9

It says 24 per pack in the details of the deal

  • Damn bought 10 AA 24 packs of Duracel ones for $0.72 each. This would have been much much cheaper. :(

Either this store has a new employee entering data or one that has an axe to grind before he/she quits 😉

    • +10

they will just send out 1 battery.
I've seen many of these issues on Amazon US listing's and people often comment saying 'they only received 1'.

      Prepare to be disappointed lol

  • Either I get 432 batteries for $13.70 delivered, or I get an Amazon voucher. Either way lol.

    • +1

Why would you think that you're "entitled" to an Amazon voucher?.

By the way it's not even sold by Amazon itself. Third party marketplace seller.

      • +1

By the way it's not even sold by Amazon itself. Third party marketplace seller.

And the one time I bought from a third party seller on Amazon, I got an incorrect item and Amazon didn't want nothing to do with me - I had to organise with the seller a return satchel (and it took a long argument for them to even pay return postage)

        • -1

Amazon didn't want nothing to do with me

          You stuck at math.

          • @No ONE: Not sure why you got negged for a correct statement.

If amazon "didnt want nothing to do with me", then Amazon helped, as that is a double negative.

    • +5

This is not backed by Amazon's return policy. It's a marketplace seller, much like ebay. Most likely a fake product.

    • +3

Most likely you will only receive 4 batteries and need to send it back for a refund. Probably you will waste the time worth much more than $10 but I don’t know
      Good luck

      • 9000 clicks, not going to get anything

    • +2

You're not getting a voucher dummy, nor are you getting batteries

      • I'll be happy to admit that I was a 'dummy' should that be the case. Only time will tell.

  • +3

I'll be cautious, this isnt sold by amazon

    • -5

I'll complain to live chat and get a credit if it isn't what I expect

      • +7

Not amazon sold and shipped. Good luck with the chat…

        • +6

It actually doesn't matter. Amazon can shirk responsibility in the US with this kind of thing but the same thing doesn't fly here.

I've had items from third party sellers which had to be refunded and Amazon chat have always taken care of it even though they didn't "back it". It's the law and they rely on people not chasing it up so they don't have to follow through. American based companies are usually the worse to deal with for refunds because they're used to going by their own BS policies, but they HAVE to do it if they want to sell to Australians. Sometimes they just need to be reminded.

This particular seller is Australian, so there's no way they can get away with not honouring or refunding.

          • @Freezies: What law?

            • @justtoreply: Australian Consumer Law

              • +1

@leetguy101: Yeah but what specifically? Is he just alluding to "not as described"?

                • @justtoreply: Never ceases to amaze me how little people understand ACL and jump on here and quote so called rights.

ACL is between you and the seller. Amazon is the marketplace.

It's like complaining to Westfield that Myer ripped you off

  • Is it Battery Day Today ?

    Units per pack: 24

  • OP. Curious how you come across a deal like this.

    • +2

the chain of battery deals started off from here

      • -1

what makese these "No special disposal required?

  • Worth a shot (pulled the trigger on a couple of items with them)… will be interesting to see if they come through with the goods :-)

  • Thanks OP good find

  • +1

most likely a price error. should probably be $91 by looking at their other batteries products.

  • +1
  • -1

this is the 4th or 5th battery deal, amazing.

  • thanks OP.. good find even if it is a price error

  • +3

Not even going to bother. Third party seller

  • +1

Got 30*144 for $37.30 thanks OP

    • +1

what are you going to do with over 4000 batteries with a 4 year expiry?

  • delivery fee of $10. description says 24 batteries

    • It also says 144 batteries in the description. That would be enough to get a full refund here.

    • Delivery fee stays as is if ordering multiple packs. Ordered 8 and still only pay $10 delivery.
Even if it's only a 24 pack, try buy 200 batteries for $17 elsewhere.

  • +1

Thanks OP! Ordered 5, now I will just screenshot everything if they want to tell me that 144 is not meant for quantity, lets see what will happen later.

  • I'm guessing $91…. Must be human error 😂

    • that's too expensive for alkaline.

  • +1

I doubt this will be honoured, and if it is I'll eat my shorts and shelve my eneloops.

    • -1

      Following

      • Well thats just aswell, orders cancelled due to price error.

  • -1

Any ways to cancel the orders?

    • .. click cancel in orders section?

  • +1

    Bought it for fun

    • that's what my wife said

  • Bought them for 0.91 plus shipping of $10.00 ; charged my bank account with $10,91.Done few minutes ago.

  • Are batteries the new TP?

  • this will get canceled.

  • bahhhhh you can combine shipping with all these latest battery deals!!!!

  • Has anyone got an Order Confirmation sent from Amazon as I have not got one yet ?

    • +2

yes. i have confirmation from Amazon

      $14.55 for 5 boxes

      • Thanks for letting me know.
        Hope it get honoured.

      • Amazon just looks at the description.. since its a 3rd party seller then they cannot be sure its a box.

Hope you get the deal, if not then you will need to make the hassle of returning the item for refund.

        • you have a point. we will see.
it wouldn't be worth the time for a $14 refund vs time spent

like over 120 batteries, it does sound too good to be true

  • +2

    why are people buying these?

    • +1

Because they are insanely cheap and something you use A LOT around the house on a day to day basis?

      • Power the new Tesla.

  • +1

Note: product description says 24 units, not 144.

    • Unit size is 24, 144 means 6 units in the deal, which I guess.

  • +2

    I think it's a typ0, maybe it's 1AA battery :P

  • +1

    These will never come…

  • It clearly says in the description this is a 24 pack.

Energizer Industrial 24 per Pack AA Alkaline Battery EN91
    Units per pack: 24

    • I mean the title also says 144 Batteries so which do you go by?

    • 24 per pack, title says 144 batteries so 6 packs is the assumption. Either way I believe these are a price error and because it’s a third party seller they will just cancel the orders when they get in on Monday. And amazon won’t need to be involved at all.

  • Thanks OP! got 3x packs

  • Just ordered 5 of AA and 2 AAA equalling 720 of each. Hope they turn up…

    • Where is the link for AAA?

  • -4

PLEASE buy only rechargable batteries peeps!

  • +1

Still got my Dick Smith's hanging around…

  • Just what Scomo needs to charge up Michaelia Cash before her next press conference

  • Ordered one pack of AA

  • Any word on whats happening with these?

    • Since placing my order yesterday morning I haven't heard anything. However, the items I purchased (AA & AAA) are now showing as "Currently Unavailable" and the several pages of product the seller had available for sale has now shrunk to 7 items.

    • +2

The Amazon rep confirmed they are in process of refunding 7,000 orders in coming days as there were errors across many of their listings.

      • Nothing lost nothing gained, ah well… life goes on.

      Hi All,

This is my Amazon store. We had a listing error with Amazon and price is actually for 1 battery. The data we sent was correct however Amazon replaced the title with their title linked to their ASIn

We are working with Amazon to refund all orders as there was over 7000 orders placed.

Please understand this is a nightmare situation for me, even trying to clear the 7000 emails i received in my inbox over the weekend and also the cancelation requests in addition. I plead with you not to create a cancel order request, this will be done and we are working with Amazon, you will definitely get your money back.

Im trying to be as open and transparent as possible here to keep everyone informed.

In light of all of this i will put together a special deal on these batteries for those that still want some of them. It will of course be nowhere near as good but i am looking to do it at a very small margin that would allow me to cover my costs and it will still be the best available on line or offline.

      • -1

What kind of structures do you have in place ? Any average run business would have picked up after 100 orders piling in that potentially something is wrong . You had 7000 orders and no alert !

      • Hi there.

The offer was too good to be true but hey, give it a go :)

An email from Amazon says I have not been charged for my order (upon cancellation) but my bank statement disagrees - I see the charge sitting there on it. Is this just a "wait a while" to see?
