[WA] Ryobi 18V 4AH Battery + Charger $99, 2AH Battery + Charger + Drill Driver $99 @ Bunnings Whitfords

430

Saw a couple of specials at my local store. Might be available at other stores too.

Drill driver with 2AH kit and charger $99. NB: this is not a hammer drill. That is fine for me because I have an SDS drill for masonry work. Normally the non-hammer drill itself is $99 so this deal is basically a free 2AH battery. The battery included is not a Lithium+ battery so it has no fuel gague. This drill apparently has a plastic chuck.

There is a 4AH battery and charger for $99. This normally sells for $145, so I figure Bunnings brought in the 5AH kit at the same price point and are now dumping any old 4AH.

        Thanks, I zoomed in on my phone and it was a super blurry photo, sorry everyone.

    Don't think I could ever spend that much on a battery anymore given the Ozito/Workzone $30 (or less) 4Ah battery price war. Unlike the actual tool itself you don't exactly need as much "brand name quality" for batteries, given teardowns at least prove they aren't "rubbish".

      but uou cant use ozito batteries in better quality tools can you?

      • Depends on the system. For instance Ryobi only have two terminals +/-.
        That's why people have made 3D printed adapters and stuff

        • I'm sure smart and skilled people will know how to repack 18650 and/or 3dprint adapters. Unfortuantely I'm not one of them.

          I'm seeing the ozito 4AH battery is $69, so adding Steven Mann's $37 adapter (and $10 shipping) makes the OEM more attractive.

            @klumsybot: If you can get your hands on the adapter free 18650 batteries can be found on every corner of every major city disguised as Lime scooters.

          • @klumsybot: he is talking about the fact that 4Ah Ozito batteries sell for $30 at Bunnings regularly when Aldi discounts their equivalent.

  • Any deals on the chainsaw?

    • Maybe you could visit the Bunnings and let us know.

    The item code appears to be 0029012 for the drill driver. So the lookup URL for stock appears to be;

    Enjoy!
