Pioneer AVH-Z2250BT Apple CarPlay Head Unit $429 with Free Shipping and Reverse Camera @ Bankstown Sound & Marine

100

Hey guys, just popping this one up here as it seems to be a super popular model - and we seem to be one of the only places that actually have stock!

PIONEER AVH-Z2250BT

  • Apple CarPlay (wired)
  • Dual Camera-ready (reverse camera and front/blind-spot camera)
  • Direct Spotify control
  • Dual Bluetooth
  • USB
  • 6.2" Screen
  • CD/DVD - one of the last models left with this feature
  • No native NAV (GPS) or DAB

We're running this until the end of March, or until stock runs out. If you want to know if it'll fit your car, please go to Aerpro and see if your car can accept DOUBLE DIN head units, if it can, it'll fit!

Also, if you want us to install it, you'll need to come to our shop in Bankstown, NSW and the cost is $250 (for the unit and the camera) + whatever parts you need for your vehicle. Head on over to our website to see if we've got an installation kit (full plug 'n' play) for your vehicle!

Happy hunting!

Wasn't that $299 on boxing day?

    • We all miss the good old days…

No one sells at a loss

During one of the biggest sales of the year, without the stock drought threat that is COVID - yes. I'm not saying it's the cheapest ever - just saying it's a good price right now.

      • -1

Shouldn't be other way around people don't need these as most will be stuck indoor. Good times for people managing groceries stores, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.

Many many businesses are on verge of shutting down and some of them already have.

I'm no expert but just curious, is the demand really high?

        • For car audio?

          • @BankstownSoundMarine: Yup car audio and accessories:)

            • +1

@777: It's not this sale or trading day were worried about/talking about. It's the supply in country. Once all the stock is gone, we (and suppliers) are unsure of when we're getting new stock! The launch of new models has already been delayed months because of the shipping issues and delays.

              • @BankstownSoundMarine: Fair enough valid point

                • +3

                  @777: Like you also rightly said;

Many many businesses are on verge of shutting down and some of them already have.

We're a small business with one owner (and another kind of owner), we need to make money. The only way to do that is to compete with the market - like this offer, not 100% the cheapest on the unit, but as a package, the cheapest.

                  Also, as you said;

No one sells at a loss

During the BIG sales events, we have deals with suppliers so that on one or two items, we can go below cost as we make it up elsewhere - for the foreseeable future… no one will be doing that simply because of stock movement issues and droughts. It's a terrible time with multiple aspects that are going to cause problems long after a vaccine is produced.

    $395 @ Repco

      Without the cam

we seem to be one of the only places that actually have stock!

It seems to be in stock in plenty of places?? Also cheaper at Repco

    • +1

Guys, I didn't say we're the only place that has stock - I said that we seem to be one of the only. Also, their $395 is without the reverse camera. Again, not saying this is the best price in the country just that it's a good price and we have guaranteed stock; you buy, you get the item. Repco doesn't have 100% stock coverage - just saying…

      • -1

If you had said one of a few places that had stock, then fair enough. But one of the only place has a different meaning.

        • Huh? same thing.

          • @DamagedDingo: Nope. Read carefully.

"One of a few places" means that their store and a few other stores stock this item.

"One of the only place" is kinda superfluous really (because one from one doesn't make sense), and could be replaced with "the only place".

    No android auto?

    • -1

Shouldn't be neg at all since the unit is only purely Apple CarPlay

      • +1

The product isn't made with Android Auto. Does that mean that it can't be on sale; ever?

    • Nope - just Apple CarPlay like in the title and the description.

  • Buyer beware, got quoted over $400 more on a Apple car play installation than anywhere else, at this place.

    • Depends on the car though, I got quoted $800 For my X6 from else where still have XAV500 in Box

    • +1

Mate I'm sorry you had a bad experience, however, us over charging $400 for an install seems all sorts of wrong. Do you mind sharing with me some details? Perhaps there was a misunderstanding that I can help straighten out?

  • Hey OP,
Can you please post the dimensions of the facia. My Toyota needs 200mm x 100mm, will this fit?

    • +2

To save a whole lot of time, I'll get you to go to Aerpro's website and have a look for your car (make, model and year) from the dropdowns. Then once you've found your car, enter in AVH-Z2250BT as the head unit you want to install. That page will then spit out all the parts, adaptors, facia kits etc. that you might need to install. Toyota's will fit Double Din units for the most part - you just need "wings" (Aerpro ATB3USB) to cover the gap on either side.

  • I am keen on one of these, but the cost of the fascia kits and associated hardware to use your existing steering controls is ridiculous. The fascia kit for my Sportage is $130~, the harnesses/kits come up to about another $100+. Then the install, and you're looking at $900~ for it all in.

    • cost of the fascia kits

Yours actually isn't too bad at around $100, some cars like the Subaru Liberty (Legacy) 2003-2009, for instance, are up over $1,000! When carmakers decided to build their entertainment units INTO their overall dash design, it made it very hard for the aftermarket industry to even be able to install anything at all! I mean in the case of the Ford Falcon FG and FGX, you can't do anything at all!

you're looking at $900~ for it all in

You're not wrong - it makes it all a little more painful for us too because only about 24% of the people looking to upgrade know that they need facia kits etc. They think it's just the cost of the unit plus the $200-$250 installs. Breaking that news to people isn't our favourite part of the day.

  • Hi OP, Repco is doing this (without RCAM) for $276.50: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/527351

Any chance you can better the price of your bundle?

I am in Sydney so can swing by to pick up.

    • Sorry my friend, no chance, that deal's just too hot.
