    I'm guessing this has a mains power cord running to the unit at all times right?

    Not sure what the version with battery is for - running off battery (and regular charging) would probably be more hassle than it's worth?

        yeah so you'd have to plug it in/charge it every few days…until the battery dies, then it's plugged in permanently anyway. Don't see the point of the battery version, if you're trying to save effort by buying this thing.

    Get a solar panel to recharge the battery. I'd buy this if it was a third of the price. Unfortunately it seems way too overpriced especially if you live in a house with lots of blinds
