I am so excited.. 10% off .. yay..

    • Hi elcheapo, our products are very low margin as is. You will also find that the 10% is applicable on top of our products on sale, some of which are already up to 30% ish off(granted it is not a big selection). I really don't understand why someone would neg a deal based on the percentage of discount, it's not a reflection of whether the prices are a bargain or not. I don't see people negging the likes of focalprice or dealextreme when they have 10% off?

Best of luck on your 10% sale my friend.

      • +2

I guess not many will complain about focalprice or dealextreme because their price are really a bargain and when they do a further 10% off it means they give a gift to their customers.

I believe that your margin is "very" low but that is your problem, you run the business not us.
As long as we want a real bargain we always try to find the best offer.

I think that your prices are not too bad, but for sure aren't a bargain!

        • +1

Thanks for the feedback, I meant to imply that our prices are competitive as is when I mentioned low margin and I'd really like to give a bargain as at the end of the day, building our reputation is our priority.

Since there aren't too many happy campers, I've decided to increase the discount to 15%, I hope this appeals to ozbargainers better :)

  • wowww 10% off bargain on OzBargain so exciting! :)

  • To be honest these clothes are not expensive to begin with, so to compare these clothes' prices with that seen in aussie stores/online aussie stores would already mean these are a bargain.

On the other hand they're not brand names like you get in aust, but then again how often does a brand contribute anything more than to jack up pricing ?

For this sale to have 10% off normal clothing may not be such a 'bargain' for MOST people, yet it also includes sale items - often excluded with sales in other brands.

Last of all, if these clothes do not suit you then you don't need to vote or say anything at all.

For those uninitiated to the world of asian independent brands, often there may be a (large) discrepancy of pricing and (small) discrepancy of quality as compared to 'brand names'.

    • Thanks for the support kirasuran :)

  • for anyone who has never bought from korean sites like this, zipia etc…

the quality is really subpar, how the garments look on the models is not what you get ie thin materials and loose stitching.

also, as much sizing info that is supplied on the website, the fit is almost always off. ie material falls and pulls awkwardly against seems and buttons.

    just my FYI

one of those get-what-you-pay-for situations imho

    • Hi Blud,
While I cannot speak for Zipia, and I'm not aware of what other Korean sites you've shopped from, I have to say that you cannot simply categorize all Korean fashion stores as having subpar quality. There are hundreds if not thousands of Online Korean fashion stores, some that do ship overseas such as StyleNanda certainly do not have subpar quality?

I can also say that the majority of "Korean Fashion Stores" that cater for outside of Korea are often direct imports from China (a majority of online wholesale Korean stores come to mind)

Our products are 100% sourced from Korean manufacturers and made in Korea. I've not had a single complaint regarding dissatisfaction towards our product quality, in fact I've generally had positive reviews and you can even check our blog section for further reviews.

Here's one such review by one of Australia's popular fashion/gyaru blogger -
      http://www.violetlebeaux.com/2011/07/vanitybox-review/

IMO, you'd be getting Chinese based imports at these prices in Australia, and I strongly feel that Korean manufactured clothing is better. Btw there are plenty of Korean imports sold in China and Hong Kong, and demand for Korean clothing there is so strong that often it is the case that Korean clothing is quite a bit more expensive there.

      • Had a quick glance at the "fashion" blogger. the positive reviews are mainly about accessories, which I didn't comment on at all.

Also, about the source of products, almost all the products come from the same factories.

FYI, if people want to see hundreds of other sellers selling the EXACT same items plus more, in order to get the best price, try www.rakuten.com/en/

its like a japanese ebay type thing but you can buy from lots of separate sellers and have the shipping combined.

Im not japanese and the site is really easy to use via the english version.

but, I think if the deal was increased to 20%, considering you are an Australian seller, this deal would really be a bargain and I'd be willing to retract my comments :)

        • Hi Blud,
No offense but you don't seem to know much about buying Asian clothing online at all. Rakuten is Japanese based, I find it extremely hard to believe that they will sell the same products that I do offer in the first place.

Secondly, Japanese stores that sell Korean fashion items IMPORT their items from Korea, so no, you will not get better prices, especially on a global site of Rakuten. If you do I will happily match and BEAT the price.

I don't know if you've been in the clothing retail industry in Korea, or you've just visited Dongdaemun in a day and decided all clothing come from there, but no. Not all products come from the same factories.

Violet LeBeaux is a very reputable Australian based blogger, and is one of the top bloggers on lifestyle be it makeup/ fashion etc. I don't know what you're implying by the quotes but she's been featured in the likes of the Age newspaper.

If you looked harder in the review, you would have seen all the clothing reviews at the bottom of the review.

  • 15% off is pretty good. :)

    20% off = bargain :D

Anyways… I was planning on browsing your site however it won't work… All I get is blank white screen :S. Any ideas?

    • 50% off special only for OzBargain members :P

      • Yes. I'd like to say the discount is not even enough to cover the shopping.

        • shipping?

        • Hello Hirokuro, blank white screen is not good :S I'd recommend using browsers at versions at least IE 8, Firefox 3 or Chrome with javascript on for the site to function correctly.

Eleana, you get FREE tracked shipping on orders over $60!

  • Yes, melty. Sorry about the typo, I mean "Shipping".
