  • Anything mechanic related= dodgey

  • 'All you’ll pay more for is any necessary parts or fluids and you’ll get them at Goodyear’s competitive prices as well'.

Can we bring our own parts and have you fit them? Wont be so keen when u cant make the profit from the over-inflated markups will you?

    • You can't bring your own parts or fluid, these guys are a bit dodgy, you will have to pay inflated price for those things.
      - oil filter, oil (only these will get changed for minor service) will cost you $60.

    • Would you be able to ring the business to find out how much they charge for engine oil, oil filter, and other common parts for a minor service before hand? That way, it is easier to tell if the deal is worth it.

Actually for $29, it seems pretty decent I think. If I recall correctly, wheel alignment alone cost me around $40 here in WA previously.

      • +1

yeah, I did rang them and they told me that $60 for parts for minor service.

I have bought 4 vouchers from www.deals.com.au for these guys but now I don't really need them since I can't use them all. I intended to bought for friends but they don't want it.

        My voucher includes
        - 2 minor service
        - 1 major service
        - Car service and maintenance package
        - 1 x 'two wheel' alignment
        - 1 x 4-wheel balance
        - 2 x brake inspections and MUCH MORE

This is $49 voucher and there is no mention of time limit for the labour. If anyone interested can contact me via email http://www.ozbargain.com.au/user/24969/contact

  • Its only valid for 4 months…

  • that part about 2hr for a major service and 1hr for a minor service, something tells me unless you drive a small engined locally made private passenger car those estimates won't apply, 4wd/imported cars/performance/modified/any car used for commercial purposes etc may cost more($ or labour wise it's two sides of the same coin!) which would apply to any garage to be fair, maybe you could ring ahead and get a full quote first

dodgy, no one can work for that cheap, you think they wont find other issues that need to be rectified on the spot?

business have to make money, they are going to stick you on something to make there money…

not even the work experience kid would work this cheaply. thats 6.66 an hour - minus the spreets cuts… which can be as much as 50%!
