Due to coronavirus, Rosetta Stone is offering a free 3-month subscription for new users (3-month period begins upon delivery of the access information email). Technically for K-12 students who either attend a school that is closed in response to COVID-19 or are homeschooled but no verification or payment required, so open to all (entering anything for 'school name' should work).

      All you need is an email to signup. There were no payment options when I did it.

    My kids use Duolingo when at home - is this significantly better?

    • It's similiar! I feel like it's a more expansive and improved version of Duolingo (less fill-in-the-blanks, more listening, reading and speech), but perhaps less like a game so if they are very young, Duolingo might suit them better. Might as well give it a try?

      Keep in mind, Duolingo is free and Rosetta Stone is usually quite expensive so naturally, it isn't a fair comparison.
