Thanks to Bazk : Advice is to pay using a credit card(or debit card) and not PayPal. The price is in USD and PayPal wanted to charge me $125 but I needed up paying $100 with my debit card. Hence the $13 with 90% cashback -

    Got charged $120.15AUD ($69.99USD) on Macquarie debit card. Cashrewards tracked $118.60 AUD, with $106.74 cashback. Total cost for me was then 120.15 - 106.74 = $13.41. Not bad for 3 years :)

      Waited over 15 hours and it didn't show up. Cashrewards rep contacted me and told me to go get a refund and try again on a different account and on my phone.

      Rep thinks its because I have adblock that would have definitely killed the tracking.

      Don´t forget to cancel the subscription.

      Otherwise you pay $120 in 2023, as your subscription automatically renews without Cashrewards payback!

    Bought it. On the Surfshark website it says now "Your subscription 36 months. Renews on Mar 24, 2023". And underneath is a button "extend plan".

    "Renews on" sounds like it renews automatically.
    The "extend plan" button sounds like I have to extent the plan myself.

    I just don´t want a booking of $575 in 2023 if they extent the plan for the full price automatically.

    Do I have to quit the plan/subscription? where can I do that?

      Means if you don´t send an email, the plan will automatically be renewed. But next time you will pay the $120AUD without cashrewards payback!

        Much fun on chat with them regarding the law concerning holding of financial information. was provided links to German site for information. GDPR country so must adhere to GRPR law regarding holding of personal information. The 3 year subscription model is a little dodgy… I've requested all my personal/financial information held by them to be provided to me…

        NOTE They refuse to remove any financial information related to automatic repayment so far.

                @evanssm2jp: I just asked to cancel over live chat. When they asked why I told them. They turned off auto renewal in my account and I saved the conversation. Looks like it can be done.

                  @Morien: I had quite an argument with them on chat requesting to know exactly what personal details are kept…my account appears to be active but they emailed saying:

                  'We are sorry to hear that you have decided to discontinue using our services in the future. The auto-renewal of your subscription has been disabled and you will no longer be billed unless you subscribe to our service again.'

                  Not sure if that's the same thing!

    Got my cash back notification.

    Cost me $120.15 on 28 Degrees. Cash rewards valued it at $113.91 with $102.51 cash back. $17.64 out of pocket.

    Mine showed up as $125 on my credit card (not 28 degrees, so foreign fee mark up) (they charged USD69.99, not the AU$99 on the actual purchase page), but then the cashback scaled as well with the higher price (same AU$102.51). So cost approximately AU$22.50 rather than $13 for me, but it seems good, and worth it, so no complaints there. Going to keep it.

    (Also they have a 30 day guarantee if anyone not happy).

    Useful points on the auto-renewal above, they don't make that easy at all.
