  • How does this compare to the xiaomi 360 camera?

    • i bought this pair of camera's before. for the price, they are great. i have a few Hikvisions around the place, but found these to be great cause of the PTZ functionality. And they pair up with BlueIris which is great

      • If you don't mind, could you tell what fps do they run?

And does the app allow a "clean" full screen mode (full screen with no overlays)?

      • Could you get PTZ working with Blue Iris? Reading forums most seem to say they could only get video but no PTZ.

  • Indoor or outdoor?

    • wouldn't recommend for outdoors. it's not sealed

      • Thanks

      • Do you think it would be okay under a veranda or would the humidity kill it?

        • +1

i doubt it would last long vs moisture and condensation

          • @dave78234: Fair call, thanks Dave!

Can you view live footage? I assume the only difference between this and TP-Link’s Kasa offering is that it doesn’t have cloud storage, just local storage on memory cards. Is that correct?

            • +1

@Master Bates: Yes, it is local storage only via a microSD card. The app is quite good where you can view live stream, view recorded content and move the camera via the PTZ functionality. It also allows for a detection zone to be set up and alerts.

Decent price for the powerboards if you need two.
Marketing on these things can be a bit iffy, but if the manufacturer is to be believed these offer relatively high end levels of protection for domestic level equipment:
    Surge Suppression ( Joules ) 2750
    Maximum Surge Voltage ( V ) 6000

    • I was thinking but your comment helped me pull the trigger.
